  • lawl... take this to a show and people would think that it is a real wolf :P

  • How much (on average) would a head like that cost with moving ears and jaw?

  • that is soooo cool!!!!

  • Do you have a tutorial or something for those moving ears? I want to make moving ears for my Amaterasu Okami fursuit!! ^^

  • how do u make that!!!

  • awesome stuff ^^ expencive for me tho xD

  • how do you make the shape of the face?

  • I realised that...Every wolf costume has too little ears...Lol

  • How do you get it to move like that?

  • lol , there is a sting

  • Is there any way you could teach me how to do this?

  • Omg all the whining about theres a string, sarcascm, bla string, blablabla.

Like any of them whiners could do better, it's pretty freaking awesome, why can't people say that and say things about the vid, not about other people who respond to the vid.

  • omg theres a string

  • Those are very small ears! :3

  • There are some tutorials on this? if so, can you here to give some link ?

  • all you would need is a small electric motor

  • First of all, maybe you all should learn some sarcasm. I wasn't putting him down; I was offering a suggestion.

And Wolflover8012, you need to get a life and stop flaming. Instead of pming me a very rude, impolite, and mean pm, perhaps you should think how it would affect other people's opinions on you.

I now look down on you, for having insulted me when I made no accusation, rude remark, or hostile judgement towards you directly or indirectly. Oh well, Tis your loss.

  • Looks pretty cool :3

  • Comment removed

  • well i belive its a mask and a ask isent aive and can't do that without string and plus its wire so go to specsavers and also stop posting stupd comments

  • @wolflover8012

I think you should learn to spell before trying to flame.

  • i just want. a reaaly simple mechanism for moving ears reacting with sound. ? help? anyonee

  • could you mind poting how to make the ear lectronic stuff and the remote etc ? i want to try making ears on head band with a wig over top so u don't see the wire

  • have thought of automating the ears to react to sound?

  • how do you make the mechanism to control the ears? if you don't mind my asking.

  • stings and elastics

  • Is it possible to make moving ears into a headband?

  • Probably but you'd see the stings.

  • That is impressive. I've seen movable ears before, but this actually has a somewhat realistic effect. Interesting, and promising.

  • Since I can move my ears back, not that much but it is noticeable. Would it be possible to have the fake ears respond my my own ear movements?

  • yeah, buuut, human ears dont move much, or do you mean, by a remote? well, if you were inquiring about the 1st one, itd be sorta hard to do... but by a remote or a small system that responds to sounds, sure

  • I don't mean that the ears would be attached to mine but that they could sense that mine were moving and move accordingly.

  • ohhhhhhh, ok

  • whoops wrong account my bad

  • that's so cool ;__;

    *thinks*

Are they being pulled by the strings? *really wants to put moving ears on the suit she's working on*

  • dude....moving ears......i so want that on my second fursuit.....*really wishing i could have had it on my vampire bat fursuit*

  • OMFG!! That is such beautiful mask!!

  • the wiring would be tucked into the suit.

  • soo cool!!

  • how do you even make the damn things?!

  • that was cute

  • thank you so much thundolis for the mask its brill all tho i havent got any vids up YET!! its ... words exscape lol ... i know it must have be a chalange to get all the things i asked for in the mask that size and i am tempted to chalange you againg with the lip movement and other things i must say i have changed one thing on the mask and that is the cables pulls as they wherent the easyist to use well keep up the good work

    striderwolf

  • All fake fur, thanks for the compliment however

  • Aww, very cute and creative.

Do you make different colored costumes? I was thinking, if I bought one, I'd get a light blue wolf. :)

  • How difficult would it be to link this to the physical movement of the user's eyebrows? Our natural righting reflex is a raise of the eyebrows, which would correspond to the ears perking up, and when we're angry we lower them, which would be the same as a wolf's angry or fearful ear lay. No complicated programming needed anymore, the user just controls it themselves, and the effect should be naturally expressive.

  • I have plans to make a new system avalable as soon as I can get more time for R&D. it is a system nobody has developed yet that with creative programming will allow for allot of facial expression and movement. Just having the money to be able to take the time for development is the tough thing. But it IS in the works

  • @thundolis how much would it cost me if i asked you to make one for me?

  • As for a simple mechanical solution. it will require a whole new type of ear to be able to give it realistic motion yet take little in pull to activate it with a facial muscle.

  • I think mechanical would be much too complicated, given the spirit of your masks. The eyebrows move 1/2 inch while the ears move 3 inches, leverage, direction change, glue, etc. etc.

  • What I was thinking, you have made a motorized way of perking and laying the ears, you have a digital controller of some kind, and from what I can see it seems simple. I was just proposing a change to the inputs to the controller, rather than from the noise of a whistler then a bunch of complicated software routines, input from the position of the eyebrows. Say, glue a metal bit to the users eyebrows, then the mask would have a contact which would sense the position of that bit.

  • Ah... Put the same bit and contact thing on the user's ears, now you can add another axis, this one will rotate the wolf ears when the user wiggles their ears. If you use one of those tubes Plantronics uses to connect from the wolf ear to the user's ear, the user may gain genuine stereoscopic hearing.

  • Hey, think you could make ME a mask? Joking, but it was worth asking.I tried making the ears on my mask move, but they just folded down on one ear, and I rigged the other one wrong,so it moves FORWARD instead of down or back.

  • I can make you a mask if you wish , I do commissions all the time

  • **realistic

  • That is AWSOME!! Haha, it looks so relaistic!! <3

  • I really like it i hope other ppl do. what do you think?

  • They can be sound twitchy but the programming is not ready for it. expect that and moving lips very soon.

  • now themoving lips sound a very good idea!

  • I will be demoing them in my new lion mask here in a couple of months, stay tuned!

  • So are the ears sound activated?

  • i should be so lucky lol no cables i beleive what do you think? also look at: wolf ear test

  • Well at the begining of the video there is a wistel then the ears start moving, that is what made the thing that they were sound activated.
