Man that is a sad site.such a nice saw.in the hands of a greenhorn.what they need is a saw class.and be taught by someone who knows what there doing.the only PPE he has is a helmet.that's funny tho
@TheMONTREYJACK1993 not too many trees as hard as Western Yew.. a sharp chain with properly filed raker will shred hard wood like Yew no problem.. the chain is dull as the operator..
Funny thought he'd be more of the climbing type.090 are junk so is the 088 or ms880 unless you are milling. I got a ms 660 with a 36 " bar and it can actually rev high for fast chain movement to. Actually cut fast
@dieseldick3408 LOL!!.. you're talkin out your ass because if you'd actually run the 880, 088, or 084's you'd know they rev just as fast as the 660's Oh, and this guy in the video is a Twat and doesn't know how to run a saw.. the 090 is certainly not junk.. they've been around for many years before I bought my first one 30 years ago and they still make 'em today.. things don't keep gettin' sold year after year for that long if they're junk..
That is without doubt a Stihl 090, top professional chainsaw in the hands of a total amateur.. he should give that fine looking chainsaw to me! yoink...
I would like to know the size of that chainsaw. Seriously, that blade looks bigger than 30 inches. Yikes, I've only used a 16 inch blade and never took out something that big. However, I always wear eye and ear protection and gloves. Steel toed shoes might be good too. Sometimes I use ropes if a tree is stuck. I'd love to own that chainsaw!
Wow, nice job. Less than 5 and a half minutes to take down a very huge tree. Notice how he cut the wedge. I'm guessing the 1st cut is maybe half the tree. Nice to be able to have a successful 2nd cut, getting the wedge out of the trunk. THe 3rd cut, slightly above the 1st cut from the back of the tree, is very quick and decisive! His boss is watching the direction of the tree and hopefully has a command for the guy to pull out. He's wearing a helmet which is good.
shit that chain looks blunt !it looks like flour not chips coming off of it. I don't think it would cut the skin off a rice pudding. A big saw like that should have steamed through that. Oh well he got it down ,left a high stump, but he is still alive i guess .Merry christmas folks
Can you say future logging death statistic? Real good idea making such a huge face cut! And what was with the crazy throttle, trigger finger thing? Somebody needs to tell this poor guy (if he's still alive!) that saws cut much better at FULL THROTTLE!
why cant anyone besides people on the west coast learn a humboldt face cut instead of wasting wood and learn to keep a chain sharp. shit you might as well get a ax and stop wastin gas.
Looked like he had trouble handling the saw and tree that big deserves a little more respect. The face cut was to deep and with just the right gust that camera man would have been in trouble. Plus if your making a cut you need to let the saw run, none of that milking the throttle crap. Keep an axe nearby so you can get the face cut cleared without having to use the saw to get the last toothpick size splinter loose. At least no one got hurt.
hahaha!!! stihl africa should put together some logger relief packages with files and a little screw drivers for these poor fools. he's jacking the damn thing off stick the saw in open it up and let it cut. he burns three times the amount of fuel needed to trip this bad boy.
guys this is 070 and this is new saw....go look on stihl africa website you can buy a new 070.....belive me this is not the 090....the design is the same but cylinder and piston are smaller
Stihl currently has the 090 still in production. But as far as I knew the only place stihl currently distributes the 090 is in Brazil. The guys sawing are talking portuguese so they could of got the saw from there. But, yes your right, its a brand new saw. I didn't know they were selling them in South Africa. But hey, you learn new stuff everyday.

why does nt that fuckwitt giving the instructions grab the chainsaw
autahi49 4 months ago
that is some of the crappiest chainsaw work I've seen. Further: Why do a-holes feel the need to 'rev' the saw? Do you think you are cool? You're not.
kenfo0 8 months ago
@kenfo0 revving the chainsaw helps it cut thru the wood faster
PInk77W1 3 months ago
@PInk77W1 no, running the saw at high speed makes it cut. i am talking about the gay "throttle blipping"...
kenfo0 3 months ago
@kenfo0 y does it have to b gay? LOL

@PInk77W1 why do people have to be homoz? it is a bad choice, nothing more. LOL
