Islam is simply the second religion to wash into the West, the first was Christianity. Ideas from that part of the world have a natural tendency to be accepted by Europeans after some small resistance. But eventually, Europeans love that Desert Spirituality. And after Islam, there will be the next one, maybe, but from the Desert Again!
