That has got to be the ugliest interior for a plane. How is this beautiful? It's all stiff, square, plastic I feel like I'm in the early 90s again. The only redeaming feaure is the bidet. They really need to follow the airbus designs those are so much more sleak and futuristic.

However, I don't see a place for the complementary whips in business class. How else are people supposed to help pass time on those long flights to Asia by indulging the time-honored, endlessly entertaining tradition of running up and down the isles flogging the fart sniffers back in economy class?

Actual seats in the production models are incredibly comfortable! I was at the delivery ceremony this morning in Everett, Washington ( north of Seattle) and the 787 will change your mind about air travel for the next 10 years!! It makes standard jets look and feel like railway cattle cars! Light years ahead of what we are used to!

Beautiful exterior. still the seats don't look comfortable, unless looks are deceiving. Afterall, I've seen seats that look uncomfortable, but design based on science turned out to be very comfortable. I have not flown on this place, but I hope the last sentence, on the positive side, is correct .

i think those are interiors are first designed for domestic flights. i have been travelling from japan to europe several times thru luthansa A380, both in business and economy class, business class is good but economy class was extremely uncomfortable in A380, it may varies upon airlines, but i have high hopes for boing 787.

Dear lord why do they have to put that cushion from hell on those economy seats! I remember fly from japan airlines and the cushion is always there with no option to remove so my head is always inclined forward. The flight was super long and I could get a good sleep because of it hurting my neck. I just wish a painful death to everyone responsible for creating those seats.

I don't like the entrance at all. Wasn't Boeings aim to make the entrance more spacious? why the hell put a door to limit the view and space?? The drower looking things with the red handles on the right side at 0:07 look very unwelcoming and it closes the space... Hopefully other airlines will pay more attention to details and space as Boeing has...

it wasn't boeings decision for this airplane, it was ana's.

Boeing designed the atriumesque entrance, but airlines can still choose to put a galley there. (thought i prefer they don't so we can adore boeing's (acutal) beautiful design.

omg look at the middle seat of the business class it looks seriously cramped. they could have gone for the swiss business clas kinda seating. since they use staggered arrangement to... the alone middle seat in swiss A340 is awesome. they call it the throne. but here it looks like a prison cell. and the seats are not that much wide.

In Japan, however, simplicity considered elegant, primarily because Japanese culture believe the center of attention in a room should be persons, instead of interior decoration. Its one of the main concept of Japanese tea house/ tea ceremony.
