OK this is to everyone who says that Kinski is an egomaniac psycho. YOU need to read his autobiography "I need love" to know the inhumane conditions Herzog forced his actors to in the movie Aguirre. After filming Aguirre Kinski had to be 3 days in the hospital for intravenous vitamins because of the pig food Herzog gave to his actors and also he let them drink amazon lake water.

Once you read that you will understand why Kinski is so angry

Most of the Germans in this production crew look really nice and calm. It's the Prima Donna actor that makes them look bad. As for the Natives killing those who upset their social order, it's hard to judge them for that practice considering their environment and lifestyle where one lunatic could get the entire community killed. They simply wouldn't have the luxury of entertaining it.

kinski was a good actor but he deserves a smack in the mouth for shouting at the production manager like that. how is it possibly HIS fault that kinski doesnt like the food. shout at th cook, shout at the director, but not the PM. i think you can understand his point to an extent but after a minute you get the idea he was playing up to the camera a little. reinforcing his own reputation so to speak. werner just stands silent, a man of patience. good clip.
