  • That's Verity Sharp (co-presenter of BBC Radio 3's Late Junction) Paddy's talking to, in case anyone's interested.

  • the blondey fella seems as if he has a twitch!!

  • Yes you learn certain steps just like in Irish Dance.

  • Just a slight correction. It is definitely choreographed. During part of this incredible performance they are doing the same steps at the same time. They had to think about this ahead of time, agree on what steps and work on synchronicity. This is choreography. It's not a bad thing and doesn't take anything away from the performance.

  • the thing thats so damn amazing about the chieftains is every time ive seen them theyve done for the most part the exact same show and its still amazing.

  • They are super fantastic!!!!!!!!!! But I hope no one calls that irish step dancing or at least not true irish step dancing...

  • Noone calls it that, it´s Ottawa Valley dancing!

  • Yeah but whats the name of the style, or is it just choreographed dancing

  • The style IS "OTTAWA VALLEY" and nothing else. It is never choreographed. It is the dance of our Ottawa people and comes from the heart. It is one supposes, Irish by nature, but it is, Ottawa Valley.

  • They are great in person!

  • They rocked in concert,
