I think this was when he had a sore throat. Because you might notice how he goes slightly off key on a few notes. It might be the trick of the microphone, but you might also notice how in 'I Have Nothing' he says the words, "Well, don't make me close..." much slower than they usually would be. Still, these two songs are really tricky, so everyone should owe him some respect for his great performance ;)
