  • nice video

  • No phones? Wow what a rule.

  • "Information regarding this video cannot be released. If you happen to know where this video was shot - congratulations; but do not spread info around!"

Seriously? As if you own this "information"! You put the video on YouTube, what do you think people are going to do? Not know where it was shot? Surroundings, train numbers & the like are all visible & the information you don't want released is already out there. I can't wait to show this to all I know. Facebook, here I come!!! =-D

  • LOL! Have fun!

  • @Trekker1801 ass hole

  • fantastic vid.

  • i want to work for CSX...where can i get trained to be an engineer?? and wat do i need to study???..and ive had a lot of train driving experience,i learned that experience from trainz railway simulator

  • The TRS computer game and the actual thing are completely different.

In order to work for the railroad, one must send in an application, pass the necessary tests and meet the necessary requirements. On all Class I's (I believe), you are a conductor for 5 years. After that, you get an increase in seniority, then become an engineer, after passing more tests of course. All of these tests are taken in Atlanta, GA.

  • @CSXno601 i know how the throttle and braking systems work..its just that the pressure gauges and shit look so complicated...but is there any need to go to a college or something to work for csx????

  • No need for college to hire out on the railroad.

  • @CSXno601 oo k,its cause my mom wants me to go to college! :O,and i live in north carolina,im not sure if i can afford going to atlanta for training classes

  • The railroad pays for the trip to Atlanta, and college never hurts.

  • @CSXno601 o really?, and wat do u mean by "college never hurts???"

  • Well it looks good on a resume... Better than having nothing. Plus, if being a railroader isn't for you, having a college degree is something good to fall back on.

  • @CSXno601 well ive always wanted to be an engineer, ever since i saw my 1st train..always but my mom wants me to attend my local community college and unfortunately that will prevent me from working on the railroad like i always dreamed of..god its difficult..if i dont become an engineer then i might be a mechanic

  • Well, you can go to college and still work for the railroad... In fact, I believe Norfolk Southern will pay for their employee's college after he builds enough seniority and passes the necessary required tests.

  • @CSXno601 so if i go to college, then wat will have to study?,engineering?

  • You don't have to study anything relating to railroading. As long as you have a degree, it will look good on a resume.

  • @CSXno601 oo kk,¿but are you sure 100% of the stuff you said is true?,that's funny you replied cause rite now I saw a the daily local freight train that comes thru tarboro everyday and I missed...now I feel like beating the shit out of something

  • Yes I am...

And roger on the beating the shit out of something...

  • @CSXno601 im mad at my own mom for not letting me see the train..ive beat my own closet door about 5 times

  • CSX SUUUUUUUUCCCCCCOOOOOOKKKKKKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs

  • i have to sneak an ipod into the cab with me. as long as i bring speakers the crew dont mind. makes time go faster on a boring stretch at night

  • Great vid! I got to drive a loaded coal train 6 miles in NH and I completely am with you about not sharing info, cuz you don't want the crew fired for doing this. Great vid!

  • its the same here in Australia...anti terrorism stuff .........etc etc .......great video but ...dam big engine

  • Why is information about this video is so secret? How can I be able to operate a train?

  • Well, I don't want anyone getting in trouble for anything, or getting blamed for anything....

However, to become an engineer, you need to go through the proper training, which includes serving as a conductor for several years.

  • Ya, Great Vid

  • great video enjoyed very much

  • Cody is a retard...

  • What makes you say that?

  • If this videos so secret, why did you show the engineer's face to the whole world?

  • First off, he's not an engineer. Second of all, just because you see his face, do you know where/when/how this was taken?? No, you don't. Showing his face for what, a split-second, isn't going to hurt a thing. Besides, he's wanted me to put up videos of his operation before as means of promotion for his company. It's already been done by Craig Sanders, a railfan/College Professor of the area via photograph, now I'm doing it via video.

  • Ok.. where was this? when was this? what train is this? who is the guy at the controls? How can I get to do this?

Haha.. J/k. Great video man! :-)

  • Haha! Thanks!

  • Dynamic brakes @ 2:52?

  • At 2:52, all I see is the locomotive speedometer.

The throttle and independent brakes were the only thing used during this reverse move.

  • I mean sound....

  • No, that's just the sound of the engine.....

  • Oh. I've always associated that sound with the dynamic brakes firing up... it does sound similar.

  • cause no electronics are allowed on a train anymore. (phones, camcorders)

  • @05ls4gxp what? why?

  • So why can't information about this video be released?

  • I don't want any "flack", or excessive questioning.

  • flack? excessive questioning? about what?

  • The crew, how I got to do it, if they can have a cab ride too, etc. Check out my other "cab ride" videos to see what I mean.

  • yep a lot of stuff happens on the north east corridor
