Most scorpions can't kill a good sized mammal, especially not a person, but cats included. At best they can partially paralyze it or numb the sting area with their venom, causing discomfort. The most venomous scorpions are usually small, sand colored, and equipped with frail, thin claws. This one does not fit that description, so the cat probably has a sore paw, but a fuller stomach in the end.

This cat probably didn't die. But it was probably very, VERY hungry. The reason it didn't react to the pain was likely because it was more concerned with getting its meal in order. It was, for all intents and purposes, a life and death struggle for both of them. And a great deal of pain can be ignored in such situations.

Yeah, figured the outcome. Cats are good insect abaters. My loves to eat spiders - she got bit by the last one. She killed a Cell Spider (dysderidae) and it made her sick for a few hours - apparently it got one good shot in before it died.  Cell spiders are not venomous but the hurt like hell and are aggressive.

This was filmed in Saudi Arabia. In desert areas scorpions sometimes wander into homes by mistake. Many homes have cats which will kill the scorpion if they see it. As for how it knew the tail was venomous, I don't know, but cats generally know such things well, they also know how to avoid a snake's venom.
