In his first example he played in G Phyrigan. This is why I like it when people are trained formally. Proper explinations always make things easier to reproduce in other keys. Actually all he does is based around the modes.

I think that you are really in G, what you are doing is using the Phrygian mode of Eb just to create the sense of being in an 'otherworldly place'. I really like this... I find the use of modes really cumbersome and difficult, but you really seem to have the hang of it... kudos to you!!

The problem is these guys don't really know theory and can't explain things well. They basically just teaching "tricks" but if you don't understand it you can't duplicate it in other keys and most importantly expand on it.

@homePicShow 2/5/1 is a common progression used in jazz. The number refers to the notes of the scale. For example if you give each note of a scale a number (c = 1, d = 2, e = 3, f = 4, g = 5, etc). 2/5/1 is the 2, 5, 1 progression in the key of C the bass notes would be D, G, C.

This is the new diversi organ. It Does sound very fake because he isnt using a leslie, but a simulation. On another video they had a real leslie speaker, and it sounded almost as good as a B3.
