Then there is a passenger on Flight 93 who called his mother from Flight 93 and said "Mom, this is Mark Bingham." Imagine, having to identify yourself to your own mother with your full name. My mother knows my voice, he would only have to say "Mom, it's me, or Mom it's Mark at the very least (in case there was a bad connection) but say the full name???

One other point. This video and the phone calls that were successful during the test were in a Cesna probably flying at under 150 mph. A phone at 1000 feet at that speed has been possible. However, the speeds that the 9/11 comm report said the planes were traveling....NO Freakin Way. Tower hand offs would never allow for a call.

Thats a good theory about the voice synthesizer tech, but the one they had on the end of this clip would not be the one they used on 9/11, if in fact that's how they did it at all. It wouldn't have been one that you had to type to say something. It would have had to have been one that you speak into and it changes your voice to sound like that person, or it was filtered through a computer program to sound like that person when they spoke. Or some other tech we have no idea about.

1. You must use the same cell phone + provider as the victim.

2. The cell phone company could provide triangulated location of the cell phone and records if the calls were actually placed.

3. ATC (Air Traffic Control) records would clearly reflect the location, direction and altitude of the planes which would show if the cell phone / victim were on the plane.

I would not call it conclusive proof that the phones don't work at altitude but it does show they probably don't. They need to try harder to figure out how the calls were made.
