We live in a world where the media (unfortunately) controls the world. So what stars do matter, it takes place in the media and affects people (hopefully). Suffering is wide-spread in the world, Sudan/Darfur, Palestine, Africa, Chechnya and India...

We are all guilty, and as Madonna says ppl dont want to hear the hard stuff, it seems impossible to change it so we ignore it instead. But we´re all still guilty but also capable in changing the world. Say no to war! Be active! Be kind to people!

What's pathetic about all this is that even if she's trying to do something good people won't listen to her, especially her fans, who were there just to see her and not interested in what she had to say. Soooo sad.

I think youre wrong - you cant say that her fans only are there to see her. She is being a rolemodel in helping underprivileged people. Her fans take wisdom from that - some even try to follow her example (not all but still). So its worth it in the long run. You always set an example with what you do. Madonna is trying to send a signal and help at the same time.

I agree, I am a huge Madonna fan & since learning about Malawi from her, I have become involved with Raising Malawi, it's a great cause.
