i like this guitar solo version of the song.the faster pace lends itself to a staccatto toned cleaner & more aggressive sound...more jazz like then psychedelic.... infact, in the middle for a brief moment, robby goes into some riffs that sound eerily much like hendrix's machine gun... i always felt the doors were more effective this way in tone then the blurred fuzzier sound that got furthered muddied w/ jim's slurring during drunken performances. compare this to the trainwreck of miami for ex.

lastly, in addition, this style of playing also allowed densmores best traits to shine. john is great w/ directing & changing pace, along w/ a very precise clear drummer. this version of LMF brings that clearly to the forefront.
