"Wild card" was originally inspired by an idea called "Watch the Ace" by Peter Kane.
At the time Frank Garcia was exposing crooked gambling, and had designed an opaque projector to maginify his hands about 20 times. Long story short Frank had to do only effects that could be performed in a very small space, and due to the camera limitations, Frank developed what we now know as "Wild Cards." Frank gives credit to Peter on page 7 of his book "Wild Card Miricales" published in 1977.
Most of my repetoire is Paul Gordon material - efective, commercial magic with a BORROWED deck. I responded to the point you made about this trick requiring too much of a set up - you are wrong. I'd also take you to task about full deck tricks requiring 'true skill'. Again you are wrong - not all of them do. E.G. how does a SELF WORKING trick with a full deck require more skill than 'wild card'?
Please feel free to respond; preferably when you know what you are talking about.
Nice routine but can you take some criticism? Your Hamman count is woeful mate - for god sake watch your timing & angles!!!!
Just a point - it isn't Frank Garcia's (tho if you are new to magic you would not know). The inventor of Wild Card is an English Magician called Peter Kane - Garcia stole it and the rest is history!
Thanks for the info. You are right the hamman count is horrendous, and this was shot awhile ago, and i have been working on it ever since. Hope to post a new one soon, thanks for your comments
Yeah you should post a new one man, this is a good video, but those angles.. you gotta watch those. Looking forward to your new video, I know it will be good.
