sfflyer - great to hear from you. Should you find yourself in Taipei once again, try the coffin bread and the oyster omlettes at the Shinlin night market. If you're brave try the stinky tofu.

BTW I've been a subscriber to your videos for some time. Always enjoy them. You're quite fortunate to be able to visit Germany and SE Asia as often as you do!

Would be curious how you would compare the United Business Class service versus Swiss or Lufthansa.

While in Taipei did you visit the Shilin night market? There's some pretty amazing-looking culinary adventures in there!

@skycubbie2010 Thank you for your nice comment. Yes, I did visit the Shinlin night market. What a great place. Taipei is a great city. I think Swiss has a better business class product than UA, and LH is better than UA with regards to service and food. UA's seat is better than LH's though because it is 100% lie flat.

Do you prefer the upper or lower deck for b-class on UAL? I like the upper deck because it feels more private, and you get the little storage bins right by the windows.

@corner559 I agree. I personally like the upper deck if you're traveling with a partner. If you're alone, I like the bottom better because it's easier to get in & out from the window side. There is more room downstairs than upstairs.

@sfflyer123 Seriously? A lot more room? It seems almost the same. I've never sat on the lower deck for b-class on a UA 747 before. Maybe I should try it next time.

@corner559 Yes, it was measured by a Flyertalker. The lower deck has significantly more room to get in and out. It's higher and longer.

@UclaColumbia They do fly to TPE, but they stoppped the non-stop SFO-TPE. All flights connect through NRT now instead.

@halo2windows Thank you for the nice comment. Are you flying economy? Yes, the 777 economy is definitely nicer than the 747 economy with the side-by-side seating versus the 3 in a row.

I fly this flight all the time... United has pretty good service internationally for a good price. Anyways, great video, wish I had money for business class... for economy once I had a turkey sandwich for breakfast lol.

@determined3 Thanks. I think everybody is afraid of change, as always. I'm sure the CO folks aren't thrilled, just as the UA folks are apprehensive. However, in the end, it hopefully will be for the best.
