i think that there's nothing wrong with kelly's vocal, it's just that her voice is a little way too strong for this song. this song is suppose to be soft and gentle. btw, kelly's mandarin is not as good as sandy, so what do you guys expect?

Nothing much, I just like the original version, Sandy's vocal is more powerful and pleasing to me... I like Kelly singing Cantonese songs better, to me she is just so so in Chinese songs, maybe its the pronounciation and everything. Anyway, this is still a nice song...

Just curious, because I can't really tell the difference. If you listened to this version and then the original by Sandy without knowing who sang it, would you be able to tell which one is the original version?

Maybe, because the song is more of Sandy Lam's type of songs she sings, but this song is such a classic that a lot of singers sang it in their concerts. Sandy's original version is too down rooted into a lot of people's hearts. I mean its such a great hit when she sang the song.

you can tell by their pronounciation and their feel. sandy is very smooth and light, where as kelly has a deeper more bold sound. (while listening to this more, her pronouciation is really wonky)

Probably. Kelly's vocal is a bit sharper than Sandy especially in the chorus. And that is the way she performs her songs. I have listened to a few samples of Kelly's song. On the other hand, I don't really listen to Sandy Lam's songs, but I have heard the original of this song.
