this works best when you watch the video of it as now you have a 2D projection of the scene. If you were there in real life you would see the trick more clearly. There are also those street paintings which give the impression of depth. Again those are best viewed in a 2D representation (no depth vision) but because we have imagination you will see the effect in 3D as well.
