  • @marchdisco77 Hubba That!!!

  • goose appreciate you sharing this. Dr. Foster is a legend. I went to Howard early 1990's and was in the band there. I just learned he finally passed away this year 2010....glad to see he's immortal throught the 100.

  • the doz was only five years old in this clip

  • This video makes me wanna see how good they were in the 60's!!!! GREAT STUFF! And, is that the same announcer they still have today?

  • Thank you so very much this is so great!!

  • Hey...is there anyway to get this video from PBS ?

  • Hey anyone run into Hannah? Yeah, I think the band was really hot back then. I recall Pershing Rifles use to fire our Rifles to initiate the Star Spangled Banner.

    Barbados P/R

  • Back in the 80s band members would pass tapes around and dub them over and over again until they got a copy. I found this video on some old taps I had boxed up. With the advent of the internet and the ability to digitize video I am now able to share it with everyone.

  • @g00se Hubba Goose- you know if any one can find some of the clips from the 60's they're out there I know doc had some in his office once.

  • This is when the 100 WAS THE HUNDRED!

  • This years band was the band that solidified my decision to go to FAMU instead of Grambling. Friend from Raines were Sam Smothers, C- Dog, Chico, Darryl Wilson, Gator, they all helped me make up my mind.

  • I hope the young cats comin up now get a chance to see this ! understand what marcxhing band and music should be

  • Look at those boyz SCUFFING. Thanks Goose. Hubba Band. OH SO SWEET!

  • "Wasssup Fellas, history has shown that the "100" tradition is no joke. Thes guys weren't no joke I heard this show in person and it was great. But there will never be a show that the "100" performed as great as that 77-78 Stars Wars show man that is one of the greatest halftime shows ever if not the greatest. The band was awsome but that trumpet section can be ranked as one of the best ever. The band itself was Great.

  • Thanks g00se, as a1974 grad this has brought back some strong and positive memories of FAMU. No matter how tough the times are for FAMU; WE SHALL STRIKE AND STRIKE AND STRIKE AGAIN !!!!!!!!

  • Ran into some cats from this show and had to tell them about it. T.C., Turk, Zeus, Bemo... True Hundred All Stars.

  • Glad I can help bring the past back to life for you guys...enjoy! Also, they may want to search their own closets for some "old school" video and prep it to be posted.

  • Thanks Goose. This was the show that finalized my options of which University I would attend. I was in the stands with goose bumps on my arms. What sound. I also had Cosmo's threats in church every sunday. LOL.

  • GO RATTLERS!!! STRIKE!

  • IS that a slave ship in the beginning of the drill?

    Wow!

  • I'm not certain what it is but I believe Dr. Foster would call it a "mosaic"!

  • 1st time I ever saw the football team and the "100" was when the local PBS station carried this Orange Blossom Classic. I'm so glad I graduated from FAMU.

  • Man this was my year of birth. I wish I had the chance to attend FAMU. That's the greatest band in the land.

  • Goose. Thanks for putting it out there. This is awesome. Is it possible with todays technology to clean this up digitally and reproduce? This is like lost treasure.

  • As a 1976 FAMU grad, I say with tears in my eyes and pride in my heart: "I'm so glad I'm from FAMU...singing glory, halleluia, I'm from FAMU!" Thank you SO MUCH for the memories!!!!

  • Man you took it back in time.

  • Dang this is great
