Here is the thing... I am not a Quake player. Played just about 2 years back in the days. I know Quake just enough to see how insane all of this is. @GuN1TxBr3aK3r got to admit that on some tiny points you are right, but especially the water tricks we did are new stuff and we are always trying to develop new tricks. There are plenty of new concepts in the movie. But you got a fair point. To correct you there are only a few tricks that are similar to the old ones. One way or another trickjumping is based on a few elements that appear with out exception, in every trick, such as rocket jumping ...

You should maybe open up the console with ^ and set sv_pure 0, sometimes ppl cant connect because of that.

@TheGeneralgio If you wanna play run maps then click on Defrag CPM (choose cpma physics they are easier to start with) >> then choose a map and press fighttt

If you wanna play Freestyle click on Tricks Mode, choose a map, on the right haad side unter the map picture choose movement cpma, also dont forget to enable cheats and press fight

I'd highly recommend reading the get starter tutorial first to learn about Defrag

@techfxn CPM mode is no way "easier". It's an entirely different gameplay, since it's a totally different physics.

About the vid, it's nice to see oldschool players still around, but well... They don't look as hardcore as they really are, if you take my meaning, probably due to the editing and 3rd person cams.

Anyway, CPM and vq3 are totally different, so when you have mastered CPM you need to learn everything again in order to master vq3. Or the opposite. So start with what feels best, and keep at it :P
