In this fall race at Martinsville, Ward Burton and the Morgan McClure team finished 38th in the team's final race before they failed to qualify the final 4 cup races (Atlanta, Texas, Phoenix and Homestead). Ward Burton was let go from his ride before Homestead so they could evaluate performance. But in January 08, the team ceased their operations. Ryan Newman supposed to drive the iconic #4 for Stewart Haas in 09 but he will drive the #39 instead because the MMM hoping to come back next season
