  • GREAT SONG

  • GREAT SONG

  • I won't say he didn't do the song justice, but without the songwriter he has nothin' to sing. Rodney Crowell wrote it and kicks its ass even more IMHO. There's a version of Rodney and Waylon doing the song on here somewhere, but the sound quality is sadly very poor. Another great song from one of my favorite songwriters.

  • PLEASE SEND WAYLON BACK WE WILL GLADLY TRADE JUSTIN BIEBER AND TAYLOR SWIFT

  • @kix96fan AMEN!!!

  • LOVE YOU WAYLON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Aw come on everyone, we all agree, Waylon is the best there ever was or ever will be. I am 42. I have never even paid attention to anyone else except maybe Johnny Cash or others here and there. I could always tell when my daughters were coming home when they were 16, because I could hear Waylon from clear down the street. I raised my girls right, in my opinion. The world lost something that can never be matched. I feel sorry for my grandkids when I see what there is out there.

  • 2 people are fans of that little shrimp dick justin bieber

  • what a legendry iconic voice

  • AWESOME..........YEA, Not a song he cannot sing.. He is the all time great... Merle Haggard was awesome to... Saw him in concert...He was one of the greater ones to.

  • AWESOME..........YEA, Not a song he cannot sing.. He is the all time great...

  • The first time I heard this song was on a trip to Harlan, Ky, and I sure enjoyed hearing it; this is probably one of Waylon's best songs. Shooter's trying to be like his daddy, but Shooter sure has a way to go. This is real country music, in my opinion.

  • Does anyone know if that is Jessi on background vocals?

  • @OsmondsCrazyHorses

I looked at the girl in the video and it doesn't look like Jessi, but I'm sure Jessi could and did back him up many times.

  • Waylon was he MAN! Sure miss this kind of country... call it classic...outlaw whatever. All I know is country music today is not worth listening... to it all SUX!

  • This is my favorite song by Waylon. Wish I could have seen him in concert. Did see his buddy Willie Nelson a few years ago though. He gave a great show.

  • @Elvislover1978 Yeah...his "buddy", in his last months Merle Haggard was probably more of a 'buddy' to Waylon than he ever was.

  • @acashfan1 I totally agree man

  • @acashfan1 I think you are right about Willie what's his name. Always felt like Waylon was a much more loyal & true friend to Willie than Willie was to him. Sorry Willie fans......he's shallow. My question is, does anyone really know what happened near the end that caused the huge rift? Just kinda curious. Sure love & miss my Hoss.

  • @Elvislover1978

    OMG!!!!!!

Dont ever look "Bocephus" when talkin bout who is who!!!!!

    Hank Jr. was his guy!!!

  • Watasha....................

  • The best!

  • "we sure have missed you ole friend,,,but you ain't missed a thang."

  • waylon knows how to pick that guitar .. love it............ best picker around ...:)

  • I have lived longer that i should have.

Don't know if God has a plan or I'm just a lucky son of a buck!!

    Love ole WAYLON!!

  • pats my feet to the beat... rock it baby

  • @rc57061 THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER WAYLON--- SOO SAD

  • Waylon is and always will be the man!

  • Love this song waylon you

    are a talentive man.

  • Man oh man, listen to Hoss & Moon shine, shine, shine!!! Great video!!!

  • love ole waylon, one of a kind !

  • cookie cutter bout sums it up...jamey johnson the zac brown band and a local band here in canada called the divorcees are the only country from this decade i like....waylon still kicks everyones ass hands down tho...GO HOSS

  • I have loved Waylon since I was 13 years old. I am almost 48 years old now and I still love him. Waylon didn't use his good looks to get him to the top of the charts. Waylon could really sing and he never got the rewards he deserved. Waylon was truly a very talented person. There are still some great country singers out there today (Trent Tomlinson, Trisha Yearwood, David Lee Murphy and Reba) just to name a few, but they are few and far between. Young and cute doesn't mean they can sing.

  • waylon and the true outlaws made country music awesome and cool anything but what it is today

  • The pure driving beat of this song just kicks your butt everytime you hear it. Ole' Waylon recorded the greatest rock n' roll song to ever grace country radio when he recorded this sucker!

This beats the hell out of any cookie-cutter crap on the charts today!

    NEW COUNTRY NEVER....WAYLON FOREVER!

  • you couldnt be more right or put it any better i absolutely agree

  • what a great song waylon was awesome it gives me chills and pumps me up when i hear this song because i like waylon know the drug and alcohol life and now am in recovery

  • Merry Christmas! . . . Are Jessi Colter & Rory Emerald singing chorus?

  • Waylon is an American music Icon. His music will live on forever.

  • you kids ever heard a country song that

    rocks like this?

  • I thought you were a little hard on mmvenison, but after reading this comment and considering your point of view, it is obvious that you love and respect Waylon, and perhaps knew him. You're right! RIP Waylon, you are loved and missed.

  • Amen to that!

  • I LOVE this song! Does anyone know the female backup? Waylon was one of a kind. No doubt about it!

  • Waylon is my all time #1 favorite

  • disrespectful to waylon? listen to the song, you think the dude didn't like to party?! HA!

  • great dude

  • im gonna burn one, who wants it?

  • tim mcgraw is gay

  • The first time I heard this, I was driving through Eastern Kentucky. I didn't realize this was Waylon! One of his best!

  • If we had guys in office like Waylon we wouldnt have to worry about guys like Osama. God bless every soldier thats over sea's fighting for our freedom.

  • I think Osama Bin Laden might be a Waylon fan. Songs like "I've always been crazy" and "I ain't living long like this" just fit him to a tee.

  • Probably his wife, jesse colter.

  • who sings back up ???? im completely floored by the blending of these voices !!!

  • Country-rock gets no better than this. The pure driving beat of this song just kicks your butt everytime you hear it. Ole' Waylon recorded the greatest rock n' roll song to ever grace country radio when he recorded this sucker!

  • easy killer, that was more of a joke than anything, because of the election.Sorry if my comment upset you, i will not post anymore but thank thank you for the awsome video.

  • Always like the song but it's the sentiment that's stayed with me:

    "Ain't living long like this..."

There are times in your life, you just feel that way.

  • theee best country song ever.. wanna debate?

  • He's the baddest ass in cuntray he makes my feet feel funny like that first warm shot of whisky on a friday night in a small town!!

    possabilities were endless!!

  • I sure miss Ol' Waylon. I grew up listening to his music and got my middle name from him. I remember learning of his passing as I was driving down the road. Had to pull over and cry.

  • This song is a trucker's downhill thrill.

  • i don't know a whole lot about the man, but i cried when he died, and i was very pleased to know he had a son!! his words and his impact were very neccessary in this world!!

  • reminds me of houston.tx. 1980.. turn it uppp...wooooooo....

  • 10-4!!! alltheway to 'bout 1986. All over Houston jammin this song. ...That's what we do in Houston, Y'all.

  • I turn this right up in my car as well and then when some teenage oinks comes along with techno rubbish playing I roll down the car window and let them hear real music from the man !

  • You got some really cool pictures there of Waylon. Don't you just love that piano at the end? I put this CD on my car radio and turn the bass up really loud. Definitely one of my favorites!

  • I have a picture of Waylon's brother James, holding a leather-covered guitar, autographed by Waylon, outside James' Conoco station in Littlefield, Texas. Saw a video of his other brother Tommy, performing at a Dukesfest recently. There's a lot of resemblence of Waymore in his brothers. I heard James grabbed that guitar and jokingly said "somebody wrote on here, let me see if I can wipe it off". lol

  • Oh, that is too funny! Are any of those performances on YouTube? I would love to see Waylon's brothers, if they look anything like him!

  • This is an awesome video! ty ty ty ty I love it! thank you so much. WTG! thank for this very special video. :-)
