  • BODYTRIBE ROCKS.

  • niceeeee

  • @gabiberdum

Thanks. Check out our updated version of this video on our Youtube page. Same name, much longer.

  • Does anyone know who the artist/producer of the music in this video is? Love the video and the music is awesome.

  • @macmutant : Thieves and Liars by Dalar Mendhi (Bhangra singer from India) and the Wolfmen (rock band from England). An amazing song.

  • Did trad workouts for years and saw real results with these workouts in months dropped down to 6% bodyfat. Keep up the good work

  • i wouldn't mind trying some of the actual lifts.... i could massacre on the part where you flip the tire :)

  • Looks good guys- I don't have the courage to do what you all do, so I'll be sticking with my "normal" gym for now, but maybe some day I can ascend to your level.

  • @TedWillingham Truth be told, my friend, anyone can do it. Almost everyone in these videos started as a complete beginner.

  • It's interesting that many of these workouts seem to mimic motions used by manual laborers - carrying sacks, hammering, pulling heavy loads, etc. It's so crazy that we as humans have gone from doing these things for subsistence to doing these things in our free time after work... I'm not ragging on it, but I start to think what's the point? Is it just for aesthetics or are blue collar workers commonly defending themselves from bear attacks in their cubicles?

  • @cw31088 Your arguments assumes that human bodies do not need movement outside of labor, yet, as a very primal machine, for health, community and well being, movement is an integral part of our... well... sanity. Just because technology has enabled us to survive sans movement, our bodies still NEED to move. And, believe it or not, we've done so for centuries for FUN as much as work. Some of us like being strong? Why wouldn't we?

  • @Bodytribe1 I understand the need for fitness, but at a certain point it just seems like a lot of wasted time and energy... unless you have specific goals in mind, like I want to get better at this sport, or I want to bench 300, or I want to have a six pack for the beach this summer, I guess I just wonder what the point of being strong for the sake of being strong is. I may say I work out to feel good about myself, but I'm sure deep down I'm trying to impress that hot girl on the elliptical.

  • @cw31088 Yup, it might sound crazy, but there is a subculture of folks who actually want to see what their bodies can do. Weird, huh? Sure, some folks want to do one specific thing, but where's the fun in that? We are meant to move in so many different ways, and I believe we are meant to explore our possibilities. If that doesn't impress the shallow chick on the elliptical, so be it, i'll find someone much cooler in the process as a bonus of my abilities.

Strength as art... what a concept.

  • ... and we all need to be SURE we 'understand the need for fitness.' Define it. Fitness has nothing to do with that hot girl on the elliptical. That's something else entirely.

  • Damn i wanna work out w/ these people

  • what's with all the kettlebells

  • when I walk into a commercial gym, i always ask "what's with all these silly machines?"

  • @Bodytribe1 Implying what, that I prefer strange isolation machine circuits because I don't quite know why everyone is so ga-ga over kettlebells or swing-based exercises?

  • @jewbie999 If you are truly curious as to 'what's with all the kettlebells,' I'd be happy to tell you. Unlike many KB users, we won't hop on any bandwagon claiming the kettlebells are the greatest thing ever, but they do lend themselves to some groovy exercises that we have found pretty useful for strength in ways that many folks tend to forget about.

  • Whoa imagine a modern western gym that lets you strength train! I mean properly for realistic strength! Its like some old school eastern block training school! Sweetest loking gym too!

  • Thanks for the kudos. The Eastern Block training centers had some pretty good ideas. Not much equipment, yet they produced folks with some amazing abilities.

  • What up Chip and Body Tribe gang. Stuff is looking great, especially the stuff with me in it.

  • Check out our newest video. It is some of the stuff I want to introduce at the AlphaCo Strength Camp.

  • Oh my.

I MUST train at BodyTribe. My my my. I like what I see, times 3 (that rhymes, by the way).

Are you guys familiar with parkour or Methode Naturelle?

  • Familiar, yes, although my parkour os a little shaky. I just haven't the serious gymnastics background for the big flips yet.

  • i wished there was a place like this in Melbourne Australia

  • very european

  • Groovy. But what does that means?

  • You guys rock! This is awesome. I have been really getting into odd object lifting, kettlebells, and old strongman type lifts lately and it is definitely where it's at. Next time I'm in sac I'll have to cruise by for a workout.

  • dinosaur style. nice.

  • Great video! Makes me wanna go workout. I gotta ask though: what is the name of this song and who performs it? It is so appropriate.

  • Thanks for the kudos. Many have asked about this song. It is the father of Bhangra (some would say), Daler Mehndi, but I believe it is a single not found on any album. Called Thieves and Liars, it is a little different from anything else he's done.

  • Thanks. It is a pretty kickass song for a pretty kickass video. I'm going to workout now.

  • Fantastic video! Inspiring, says it all. Great music, too. Favorited!

  • great job guys
