treat training makes your dog shallow, it doesn't do it for you, it does it for the treat.

@dontini3 lol, that was an old comment. I had gotten a new dog and was iffy about treat training. Though now I do it, it was just the idea that the relationship would have been a shallow one. But then you have to realize dogs are only doing it cuz they see you as pack leader.

i agree with you. I tried treats with our dog and it was constantly begging so annoying. so now no treats but lots of petting and 'good boys' and if we do give him treats we put it in his bowl never from our hand. it works for us!

Continue to walk and when the dog isn't aware right turn and check. Once the dog has the idea, left turn so the if the dog is in the handlers path, the handlers shins knock the dog in the neck. Once it has this idea, the dog will be bright and alert and able to travel with the handler. This feeding dogs to train them is nonsense that creates a begging, pathetic fool of an animal. Do yourself a and your dog a favour train properly.

Put the dog on a choker lead and have it standing to the left. Step off to the right when the dog isn't aware/concentrating/viewing the handler and apply just enough of a check (light, quick, snapping pull on lead). Cont....

How to train a dog? Disassociate food with any activity. Feed the dog at the same time, in the same place everyday. Increase the dogs awareness of the handler by only conducting training activities with it until it is trained. Cont .....

This dog isn't lead trained , it's follow the handler around, wrong, sometimes follow the handler around and stop and sniff objects and develop an eating disorder trained! Cont....
