nice vid... I like the fact it goes from dead stop, through liftoff, into full vertical. Those GE engines rock. This plane is a workhorse, people can say what they want about government spending... but we get bang for the buck on this one.

Loaded with a tracer round, regular and a High Explosive.

i love the plane to death and just applied for the a-10 in baltimore,,,hope to get in..but i had a dream that although the a-10 is leathal in ground attacks...i dont think they will stand up to another country that has actual fighters ie, russia...what are your thoughts on this..i feel the slow flight gives it awesome turns

The A-10 was designed in some variants for other countries, the AMX version for Italy with more powerful engines, and another for asian countries but noone bought it..so no A-10AMX or Asian version was built..

It would just take an adjustment of tactics. The only reason the A-10 is used the way it is today is because they have no air to air threat. They would use them much differently if they were up against a legitimate fighting force in the air.

a-10 was never designed for an air to air role...its job was always to put ordnance onto ground targets...and it's very good at it. I love the fact that it can take so much abuse and bring it's pilot home...truly a nice piece of engineering.

its already been retired once in the 70s then the cold war started and because all of the tanks russia had they brought it back. it also has just undergon some major upgrades. i like it because it can fly with up to 10ft of its wing missing

Holy Kow.. Check out the Maneuverability at TAKE OFF... And.. for me, the most distinctive part of the Warthog.. besides it's lovely looks, is its super fantastic unique sound with the 'whistle' of it's engines roaring by.Oh man, what I'd give for a ride.
