God loves everyone; He does not reject anyone. Jesus did not turn away from anyone for who they were or what they did, He spoke to sinners and healed the sick and needy. The Bible says nothing about rejecting "bad" people because in essence, all of us are "bad" compared to Him. We have to learn to better ourselves and help others do the same. THAT is what the Bible says.
I've tried to kill myself before. That time and the other times I considered it, God did things to try and stop me, too many little things to be coincidence. I don't go to church and I'm not religious, but I owe my continued existance to God, because I know He saved me. Well, no one's forcing me to not believe in god or anything it's just that it's really hard to believe in something so totally and completely. Especially since it's something you can't see or prove it's there.
I was depressed and had suicidal thoughts like Lacey... but I opened up to God and asked him to help guide me throught life and help me to feel better and soon after I stopped being depressed and was alot happier. Also, listening to Linkin Park and Flyleaf really helped because the band members from both bands had bad childhoods and thier songs describe exactly how I feel...

I totally agree with what's in the description! I had a similar teenage experience, problems with drugs and a mental illness which I ultimately had to make peace with. I believed in god as a kid just because my friends did, but when I got to that point in life I found faith in myself and strength in myself.

Im sure she would respect your belief. But,we cant always depend on ourselves cuz we cant make it alone and deep inside their must be a desire of you wanting to know who this God is and how different life feels with him in it. Sometimes God puts us through hard times to help us grow. Trust me, we think we know what's best for you but it's God who know's what's best for us. I felt exactly the same way you did when I was your age. If life was perfect then why would we need heaven? This life is full of humans with free will, who make human desicions. God isn't a big chess player who likes to screw with your life but he will take a bad situation and turn it into something that's for the good of you. I'm willing to listen.

I really don't think that there is a way to disprove the existence of God, but if we somehow could, I think many of us Christians would probably try to deny the proof (like some of them try to deny evolution) and live in denial, but I myself could not just ignore the strong spirital connection I feel. I like how her story kinda answers the question,"Why do bad things happen to good people?" If she didn't go through the pain, she would have been able to write the music. She says that herself. So because she went through the pain she is able to affect all of the people putting comments on this video, in the positive way that she did. And that is why bad things can happen to good people. Because a greater good can be just around the corner.
I think it's amazing how sheve been through so many stuff, and look at her now. It's not about believe in God, your religion, or whatever. Lacey is an inspiration for a lot of people, she shows how life is hard, but you can survive to that hardness. doesnt matter for who you live or you believe: the world, God, your family... music is music, is terapy. music is for everyone, jish. so why say 'oh that band sucks 'cause it has songs about god'? if it's good, it's good.
It is so inspirational and amazing to see God working through people/bands like Flyleaf, Switchfoot, and other bands in the mainstream music world to spread messages of hope and love. There are too many self-absorbed, depressing, individualistic, or slanderous bands/artists out there.

I was depressed and had suicidal thoughts like Lacey... but I opened up to God and asked him to help guide me throught life and help me to feel better and soon after I stopped being depressed and was alot happier. Also, listening to Linkin Park and Flyleaf really helped because the band members from both bands had bad childhoods and thier songs describe exactly how I feel...

i dont believe in god, ive tried, been to church but when they talk about everything that god has done it just makes it sound more rediculas, my life is pretty crappy bt really thts my fault, i guess i have to sought it out myself, great voice but sounds quite simular to the paramore singer voice, bt some great songs from this band

well first things first, this lead singers voice live sounds entirly different than the lead singers voice of paramore live. I understand that everything is your fault, becuase it is. Everything i have done wrong is my fault to. It's cool that you know you have done bad things, so if you died like right now, what would happen?

YET,your life does not have to stay that wAY. God does give us a choice but i know that his love is so much for us that once you feel it you will nver be the same. In timing you will be changed just let him and see for yourself if he's really real or not. Talk to him, and open up your heart to him. You wont be disappointed.

I totally agree with what's in the description! I had a similar teenage experience, problems with drugs and a mental illness which I ultimately had to make peace with. I believed in god as a kid just because my friends did, but when I got to that point in life I found faith in myself and strength in myself.
I'm an atheist, but I think that she would respect me and I can respect the way she feels. And I LOVE THIS MUSIC!

Im sure she would respect your belief. But,we cant always depend on ourselves cuz we cant make it alone and deep inside their must be a desire of you wanting to know who this God is and how different life feels with him in it. So let him; just talk to him and open your heart and just wait to see what will happen. He's the only one that we can lean on when we feel weak, and when we are weak he helps us to be strong once again.

Sometimes God puts us through hard times to help us grow. Trust me, we think we know what's best for you but it's God who know's what's best for us. I felt exactly the same way you did when I was your age. If life was perfect then why would we need heaven? This life is full of humans with free will, who make human desicions. God isn't a big chess player who likes to screw with your life but he will take a bad situation and turn it into something that's for the good of you. I'm willing to listen.

your always surrounded even if you feel completely alone. god's sitting right next to with open arms..it took me a longtime to see that god was there..but when you finally realize how much god loves you..it's overwehlming but you cant get enough!

Ok first off What does it matter what faith you believe in? The fact is NO FAITH is 100% the word of their god or gods. What matters is what you, yourself think. What ever kind of faith you have wheather it be 1 of the many forms of christianity I E baptist,catholic,protestant etc. or jew, islam or even pagans you should never assume you have a rite to claim that your gods way is the only way. Now I respect every form of faith out there cuz they all have truth to them .

Girlygecko living life right now is fine however if you wait until you die to find out if there is in fact a god or not, i hate to say it but then its too late, you've missed your chance at that point, game over no turning back. i would put some serious thought and do some reasearch into the facts behind god, jesus and the bible, as they all can be proven by science and mathematically. so before you say "i'll wait till i die to find out" make sure you're willing to give up your eternity first

i know you do. i have a few close christian friends and they have said the same. i guess ultimateley we must agree to disagree. but i have a question for you....if it were proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that a god did not exist would you still believe? this is a hypathetical question that many theist don't like to answer. and to turn the question on myself cause i'm sure it was coming. if it were proven that god existed then i would have no choice than to believe, but that won't happen.

If you really think about it it has been proven God doesn't exist, but (now here is the part where logic gets thrown out the window.) I believe in what the bible says and it says God is real and that he gave us his son to save us and let us live forever with him. I know this has no logic so you must think this is completely silly,but to me if God weren't real I'd be dead right now because I would have killed myself.

yes, I was raised that way,but half the kids in my school where also raised that way and none of them really believe it. You to believe or not to believe is a choice not something that someone forces you to do.So in the long run it was my choice to believe.

not denying this, but when the chips are down who's there to get you out of a dark time....religion. and alot of those kids either believe it and are to lazy to give them self to god or they are indifferent about it. i doubt many people will deny god outright. most will believe just to keep there bases covered. if they had to choose they would not be atheist. so they believe in a god. agnostic at the least.

(I dont mean to just jump right in here into the argument but I found the question you asked very interesting)
I really don't think that there is a way to disprove the existence of God, but if we somehow could, I think many of us Christians would probably try to deny the proof (like some of them try to deny evolution) and live in denial, but I myself could not just ignore the strong spirital connection I feel. Even if we are wrong, it still feels good to think there's someone looking out for us

well i continue to live because nothing has killed me yet. why do you live? is it for god? what happens after you die?heaven?hell? why are those so much better or more of a reason to live then why i live.and i live for other people.my family mostly. i'm not here to serve anyone only help and "god" doesn't need help. he is omnipotent.and to be honest i don't know why i exist, but i do know that i'm here now with the ability to think freely.without the burden of transcendental being over my head.

enduring hardships has come to make me a stronger and wiser person.and honestly i think it sucks ass that there is nothing after death...really it blows, but i'm not going to look to a place where i can fantasize about being eternal and living in bliss. unlike most "atheist" i do respect peoples decision to practice religion, although i may poke fun from time to time. to me its all in good fun.idk i guess i'm f**ked if i'm wrong huh? no regrets here though. atleast we both agree flyleaf is good

theres been amny times that i have asked why i had to go through the things i did.and times that i have beat myself up over my past mistakes .God speaks through others alot and i was told by a man od God that because of the things i have been through id be able to touch people noone else could .i believe its the same for lacey alot of the things she says in interviews have helped me .God really uses her

i can relate to her testimony .i never had a good example of a father my real dad called me weird and decided he didnt want anything to do with me right before he died second dad type couldnt stand me either and my grandfather was abusive.theres been many times i felt worthless and wanted to end it all but God always reminds me that he loves me:)

I, around Lacey's age when she started doing drugs have thought about suicide many times.
I have also thought about giving religion a try. Unless something miraculous happens im not into religion. I am stable a.t.m

Its not about God proving himself to you, its supposed to be the other way around, and just because he may have chosen to show himself to her, doesnt mean it happens all the time, othewise it wouldnt be a miracle!
Anyway I really hope you feel better soon, and dont give up on religion.

I like how her story kinda answers the question,"Why do bad things happen to good people?" If she didn't go through the pain, she would have been able to write the music. She says that herself. So because she went through the pain she is able to affect all of the people putting comments on this video, in the positive way that she did. And that is why bad things can happen to good people. Because a greater good can be just around the corner.

I think it's amazing how sheve been through so many stuff, and look at her now. It's not about believe in God, your religion, or whatever. Lacey is an inspiration for a lot of people, she shows how life is hard, but you can survive to that hardness. doesnt matter for who you live or you believe: the world, God, your family... music is music, is terapy. music is for everyone, jish. so why say 'oh that band sucks 'cause it has songs about god'? if it's good, it's good.

It is so inspirational and amazing to see God working through people/bands like Flyleaf, Switchfoot, and other bands in the mainstream music world to spread messages of hope and love. There are too many self-absorbed, depressing, individualistic, or slanderous bands/artists out there.
