Even putting aside immigrants in last two hundred years, Europeans have an extremely mixed heritage and a huge variety in terms of culture and religion. And the term "indigenous" is arbitrary, dependent only on when you decide people have become "native". Europeans didn't spring up fully-formed, they were people from other places who moved there, and that process is merely continuing.
