4.3 is relatively small. Remember, the numbers are orders of magnitude, not a scaled stepping.

A 6.5 compared to a 5 is not 1.5 times bigger, for example. Its about 3,000 times bigger. (I don't know the actual equation, sorry.)

I had a 5.3 here in Oceanside Cali, and I hardly felt a little shunt, and only because I was sitting down at the time. I wouldn't have felt it in my car.

Quakes are pressure releasing and techtonic plates interacting. The fault line goes all down Cali, into Mexico, up into Canada, and any part of it can shift at any time. But just because one part shifts doesn't mean another necessarilly will. But yeah, inevitably, there will be another. Nothing to panic about though.
