There are a couple things I don't understand about the movement, that perhaps you could clear for me.

The "Planks" call for a balanced budget admendment and no increase in taxes. We are spending 1.2 trillion more dollars a year than we take in, how can you trim 1.2 trillion dollars from the annual budget without destroying needed programs, and adding millions to the unemployment roles

A good reason for bipartisain campaign reform.

Democrat, Republican, or anyone else who wants to run for office needs to spend to much time campaigning, and fund raising.

I would love to see a federal program that gives candidates with a percentage of support provided X dollars to campaign on.

The we would also see who can spend the money wisely.

It's already against the law for him to travel on the pubic dime without conducting public business. If he won't follow that law, what good will more laws do? Just prosecute him.

1 - What ever loop hole he is using to make the trip is used by all politicians.

I believe re writing the rules on how we conduct campaigns is needed. I would rather see public funded campaigns with a low limit, intead of special interest funding of campaigns.

Just prosecute him is not an answer, it is not based in reality, and only counters the need for reform.

For all I know, the loophole he's using is : "I'm the president. I won. Nobody will dare challenge me." Whatever loophole he or other politicIians use, it's still against the law.

I agree the rules need to be rewritten: To completely outlaw public campaign financing. Let them pay their own way.

And yeah, NOT prosecuting criminals when they commit crimes makes perfect sense and is rooted in reality. WTF?

I have yet to find where the president is breaking the law by traveling to California for a campaign stop. He is continuing what president before him have done.

I would prefer the government to control how much a candidate spends.

1 the rich won't have advantage over the poor by having more to spend

2 If everyone has the same amount to spend, then we can see how they handle their budget.

Obama has been for Don't Ask Don't Tell from the jump. I agree with him. But what people have to realize is that he can't push everything through at once. Gays are going to have to quit being antsy and be patient and I think that's reasonable considering we are in the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. People need jobs, and healthcare and Obama has to focus on that. Obama will end Don't Ask Don't Tell and push the legislation through when the time comes.
