Great album! But I was just wondering, could you do a tutorial on this album? Like only how you put the album together. Could you please also include how you bind the album and how big it is? Could you also tell us who made the paper pouch using the #10 envelope?
Nice Job On Album,,I wish you would make a video on how to make JUST tags with different tabs used on tags and make a ton of different choices! No one goes into detail on the work on just tags! Thanks for your nice mini!
This is super cute. I saw one tutorial on this and was not impressed. I didn't think I would ever want to do one. Yours is so cute, I am now dying to make one. I would put a grommet in the cover and then an elastic cording to go around the book. That would help it stay closed and be easy for opening/closing. Just an idea.
Can I ask you how you made the binding for this album? Is that just paper or card stock (perhaps grunge board?) glued onto the spine over your chipboard covers? It looks so professional! I would have never guessed your pages were made out of paper bags!
I love your scalloped 'waterfall' frame that is held together by ribbon.( about 1:36sec into the video). I cannot find any instructions as to how its actually done. Did you just make it up or find it somewhere? Could you share your secret? I would love to incorporate that into my album. Great way to save on space! Thank you sharing your album.
I have used the little wooden knobs that you can get from a hardware store or craft store( they usually use them for covering screw heads)..I then use a small computer screw to attach it (which they usually give you at a computer store in there junk bin) and a eyelet on the bottom and a hair elastic
Nice - I would use strong glue and add a shabby chic button knob drawer handle on the front, and stitch a thick cord and tassle which you could wind around and hitch around the button knob.
you can use a magnet and attatch ribbon to it for a cute closure. if u need to see what i am talking about go on followthepapertrail or followingthepapertrail i dont know i forgot which one it was and then type in strike a pose mini album and thats what she has for her closure... very cute!
Thanks everyone for your comments regarding my very first ever paper bag mini album. I enjoyed reading all of your tips and suggestions for a closure. You all have some really great ideas. :o) I've since added a leather Zutter closure to the mini. I truly appreciate you all.
hey nice video umm... a closing finish is that you can get some ribbon and this thing.. i forgot wat it was called., its like this stickey thing you use to close and open things or close things like veltvet thingy, and its double sided sorry i forgot but u attach that to hold it down ill coment wen i get the name but yeah .... ill add it on my favorites so i know this video
love it, its amazing ... you could try closing it (if im not suppppppper late lol) with a grungeboard hinge by Tim Holtz they come in a set but are super amazing and flexibe =) thanks for showing
Awesome Mini! I would love to have the instruction on how to make the Slider in your album. Would you please tell me where to find instruction on how to make it.
i also loved the follow the paper trail demo - just awesome!
if u haven't found a way 2 close your album - i'd like 2 say that make enough room for pictures and stuff 2 b added - so that the album won't b 2 tight 2 close - if u know what i mean...
Wow....it is just great. I have no suggestions on how to enclose it but the obvious one but somehow I do not think you are looking for something ribbony.
thank you so much for your videos..i love it....i was curious if you have a video showing how to put your paper bag book together???? i would love to try....thank you again
You all are super fantastic! Thank you for all of the great suggestions with the closure. So many of you asked about the slider page that I decided it would be best to just make a quick tutorial on how I made it. I won't have time for a day or two though. Thanks again for your help with my closure dilemma, I'll post that as well. :o)
Really loved the paper bag album it was just beautiful. What about a strap closure. I would love the instruction for the slider envelope. this is the first time I have left a comment for anyone. Will use this idea to make an album for my son and his fiancée, a lovely girl from the states. They only got engaged last week. So if i can get the paper bags in the uk i will post a picture of it on my blog Bee
suziecrafter10: I used our Stampin' Up! Sticky Strip to adhere the bags to the chipboard. I used it on 3 sides to create the pouch, but on the section towards the spine, I added 2 lines of Sticky Strip. :o)
Thank you so much for all of the fantastic ideas so far. I appreciate each of them.
denetrasc: This project was unique for me because it is not 100% Stampin' Up!. I've had some other wonderful products sitting around in my stamp room for quite some time that I used as well.
Love the book. How did you get all of the bags to be adhered so well to the chipboard? As far as the closure, I would use the Perfect Closures by Zutter, goes for about $2.99 and I think it would work out great! Thank you!
Hmmm, Maybe take some ribbon and sew it to some elastic, put it around a cute button or something hodgepodgey, that the ribbon and elastic can go around, great album! Thank you for sharing!
What supplies and tools did you used for this album? Could you tell us what brand and what collection it is?
Lots of Thanks,
MiMi

Beautiful book! I think a nice closure to the book would be a satin ribbon. maybe a deep turquoise color.

Lovely! I think you should use an elasticated (hat elastic-round ) closure with some hodgepodge hardware.
Craftylizette 2 years ago
Maybe you could try using ribbon at the end or around the whole book.... and then you could tie a bow in to order to tighten it and make it stay put.
