Pugs have a few things that require a different lifestyle than other dogs, such as their short noses limiting their cooling, and their face folds needing to be cleaned to avoid infection, but these aren't terrible health issues.
im in love with pugs- but i really only believe in rescuing dogs, so thats where petfinder will come in handy when i get a pug! however i totally agree and know first hand- mutts = healthy! the more mutty it is the better it is... they tend to get the best of whatever breed theyre mixed with
@MsARi32 im not saying that purebreds CANT be healthy. its just been my experience as both a purebred and mutt owner, that generally mutts have less health problems in the long run- either way, i think pugs are awesome and to each their own, ya know

Most dogs have larger litters, but pug puppies are fairly large for the size of the adults, so I don't think a mommy pug would have room for many more than 2 or 3 at a time.
if they're breeding pugs, they're likely a licensed breeder, as most breeders require you to spay or neuter your animals if you're buying them for pets.
If they're breeders, they likely have more than one active female.
the little fawn's quite an exhibitionist eh?! so amazingly cute. love watching them learning to use those stumpy little legs! i have laminate wood floors, so it's a bit like skating when my pug gets into full swing :D

Pugs, compared to greyhounds, for example, are much less medically challenged, if you take their limits into consideration, as a responsible owner.
That said, I would likely adopt a mutt before paying big dollars to a breeder for any type of dog.

She also does it to help keep them clean. They are so little. Dogs have acidic saliva that kills many kinds of germs.
