  • I pray to soka too!!!!......

  • Tina is classy. Love her music, love her as a person - sincere and full of life :)

  • Tian Tan ...

  • Tina is right. check out Isabelle in With These Eyes at PeaceWithTheseEyes

  • Anna Mae know damn well she Baptist

  • awesome... she looks happy

  • ......it sounds silly, watching her chant.......though in retrospect, it seemed to work really well for her. can't deny that.

  • Hey,I'm the same religion as her!!!

  • Amazing!

  • It's not a cult. Also,we have different words to express the same thing & what we usually get to,is not what we're trying to express, but maybe, another concept & the person listening, then interprets it from his or her point of view. So,Tina says we get to the subconscious,at least,in this vid. I say,we get to activate the True Self that is One w/ all others True Self/God-Self. Actually chanting NMRK gets one to It,One becomes It.One is It,but not our "common mortal, lesser self.Jesus pointed to it.

  • What's SGI? Why is it a cult? I thought the Seventh Day Adventists were a cult. Right up there with the Scientologists. I think Eastern Orthodox Monks are rad!

  • @takanocaca a cult? really, so any religion could be considered a cult. Buddhism is not a cult its a way of life. Don't judge people for their way of life.

  • @Hochichin I'm not saying Buddhism is a Cult. SGI is a cult. A LOT of people know about that in Japan. Do your study.

  • @takanocaca I'm part of the SGI, it's not a cult. But you believe what you want. Since you seem to know everything.

  • @takanocaca A lot of people interpret it to be a cult in Japan, from,as usual, listening to what others interpret or even lie about,it to be a cult,&,as usual, blindly believing,& what most of the time,is irrational, but our world seems to think, what is irrational is rational & vice versa. I am amazed at how, more & more, how many people do anything but communicate, thereby, frustrating, even hurting, others who are trying to,& these are the 1st people who proclaim that we need to communicate. Very sad.

  • @RealtorJohnnyL How sad,how many go around slandering others today,& how not many truly Think & truly Listen & truly Hear. Then we go & spread these lies to others, keeping the illusion going & growing. How harmful. Do we have thoughts,or do thoughts have us. "The meek...WILL...inherit the Earth.

  • @RealtorJohnnyL I should have said,How Few,not how Many.

  • I need more Tina in my life.. and I really, really need more Tina chanting in my life. What an amazing woman (I knew this already and happy to know it again).

  • Tina Turner - what an inspiration!

  • Tina , you are simply the best .

  • You can almost feel the vibration of sound waves when she chants.

  • Fantastic !

  • where's a source of 100% chants & no interview?

  • Why are people so afraid of spirituality?

  • I INSTANTLY THOUGHT OF XZIBIT'S "CONCENTRATE" AS SOON AS SHE STARTED CHANTING

  • @ir0ckfartz you know whenever I hear the song concentrate i get that part stuck in my head

  • Great interview! Tina, you are my hero!

    Love & Light,

    Susan H.

  • Love it

  • She sounds like a buddhist monk or something, you know she had to practice something powerful to break free of Ike and become successful. A true paragon humanity!

  • @cyclops1092 she's been doing it for a very long time, that's why she's so fast. I've only been at it for about a year and I'm no way as fast as her. I still have to look at the book. :)

  • her aura changed drastically when she started chanting O_O

  • That should be on the top 100 billboard charts

  • Duncan Trussell put me onto Nam Myoho Renge Kyo

  • I was always interested except for the reincarnation part. When I'm gone I don't want to come back. I want to stay in Heaven.

  • that chant was amazing!

  • I love Tina! I was in 2 really abusive relationships. She really inspired me:)

    Thanks for sharing this vid

  • chanting demonic spirits

  • @zoltron30

you have to be kidding me with that dumbass comment...

  • She is Part of the SGI... the priesthood in their stupidity ex communicated 10 Million members in 1991 and growing stonger.

  • Hi everbody! Im Brasilian and I´m Buddhist too. My parents practs this wondeful filosofy, there are 27 yeas, since when i was burn. I love it! I´d like to teach some people to practice this filosofy, because everbody has possibilite to became very, very happy. • @aventuramatheus um listen I don't practice

  • it is funny afeter peopel acccept , things change...that is scary adn tricky though. Sometimes accepting keeps people down ...so it is complicated I guess. Being quote Christian I have had many instances where I wish I had more , more of God...but so so filled with dear that if I stray i will mess up with God...kinda weird I know, but I need more and not sure how to go about it...I love the peace seem she seemed to have though....

  • @talkischeapornot:

The fact is that chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo will bring you even nearer what you call God.

Just try it - you can't lose, and you will feel so good when you feel your own power rising in your life.

    Have a happy day!

    Peace.....

  • You can access the entire chant by Searching for :

GONGYO A -- for SGI and Nichiren Buddhists -- with words, and

GONGYO C -- for SGI and Nichiren Buddhists -- with words

    in Youtube

    Thanks

  • I'm trying to find the entire chant she chanted. Can anyone help me. Thanks

  • @LovelyandDivine:

What Tina chanted a little bit of is called: Gongyo (it means assidious practice).

You can find it here on youtube in many videos, but one very good one is on kcchin8888 channel.

Just copy and paste the channel name ito youtube, or you can also copy and paste the word Gongyo.

Buddhists do Gongyo every day before chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.

Good luck and have a happy day!

    Peace.....

  • The Universe, according to Buddha, is governed by one single umbrella law based on the

science and rhythm of cause and effect, and he said that mankind would eventually prove this.

    This law which should be chanted by the human voice is called;

    Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.

By chanting aloud every day for at least 10 minutes, one can put oneself into perfect rhythm with the

Universe, and therby gain insights, wisdom, energy, happiness and benefits that would be otherwise not be available to us.

  • @throbule hey um what's the lotus Sutra?

  • @trulychloe:

It is one of the most important Sutra's (books of writings) recording the orally transmitted teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha (otherwise known as Prince Siddharhta Gautama).

Another title of this Sutra is Myoho Renge Kyo.

I didn't mention that Sutra, but why do you ask?

  • @throbule just curious

  • @trulychloe:

Cool - Have a happy day!

  • @throbule ok

  • Comment removed

  • Nichiren Daishonin writes: "The sun, moon, and myriad stars are found in one's life'.

The entire universe exists within us.

And the Mystic Law of Nam Myoho Renge Kyo expresses the ultimate essence or truth of our lives.

Indeed, those who uphold the Mystic Law are the world's foremost philosophers".

(The mystic law is expressed by chanting NAM-MYOHO-RENGE-KYO daily)

  • The lotus sutra?

  • very good chanting ,i like it !

NAM MYO HO REN GE KYO

  • Wow! The Lotus Sutra is amazing!

  • Um uh um uh um uh um uh um uh um uh um

  • Nnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

  • Well I do have anger issues.

  • Gracias a su película escuche por primera vez la frase, después en 1992 ya me lo dijo una amiga y empecé. Es lo más maravilloso. Gracias Tina, Thanks a lot Tina.

  • I used to practice Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism back in the early 1970's and it did me a lot of good. I consider my self a Cristian/Buddhist even though I don't practice it as I used to, but I still believe in it as a philosophy of life, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for something else in their life, meaning to their life, changes to their life, peace, more spiritualism, etc. Next year I plan to go to Tibet for 18 days and I can't wait to be there.

  • lol, there is "proof". You can't proove the intangible with tangible methods. Physics is the science of the tangible world. Quantum physics is the science of the intangible world. Science and spiritual teachings no longer oppose each other. People who educate them selves and maintain an open mind know that. Energy is everywhere. This is a vibrational universe. Everything is based upon vibration. Even he who doesn't believe he is, is a part of "god", omnipresent energy. I love this irony! :)

  • @annacoraleetv Exactly, We don't seek a phantom "God" outside us but internalise the nature of "God" within. Everyone of us here in this universe is a "God" , we have the immense Energy that we can tap from the universe, and this Universal Energy (omnipresent energy) can be embrace into our Life through the Law of the Universe, Nam-Myoho-renge-Kyo.

  • @rainesam but can't he be out side and with in actually I don't see how it can't be this way....

btw that golfer ahhhh, tiger woods..almost forgot his name..he said he stopped practicing his faith...that is where he messed up...no, i think he did not recognize his humanness....regardless of what faith, we can ascend only so far within these bodies...but we can ascend pretty far....yes..?

  • @talkischeapornot don't mean to intervene but what are you talking about?

  • @annacoraleetv Did you ever read a course on quantum physics?

  • @annacoraleetv Wow this is far out. I can agree on part of this.

Everyone has sacred beliefs. Many of us do not agree on religion. I have experienced the chant; but my Christian "Sister Lorraine" condemed it back in 1985. I then decided to stick with my Christian belifes.

God Almighty is not a "Phantom" I find statements like that very disrespectful of many beliefs.

The one belief that connects all religions is Confucianism. I read about it in my 1967 World Book Enc.

  • @annacoraleetv

    Well said.

  • I am so fucking tired of religion and I am slowly being turned off from it.

  • When she speaks of Internal god, she means our Buddhahood, which is the good and the better side of ourselves, we can be buddha's if we seek it, but you have to want it with all your heart.

    peace and love

  • One of the most beautiful women alive; and one of the most talented.

  • I know that this mantra is the title (in Japanese) given by a priest, Nichiren, for the Lotus Sutra, which is believed to be Buddha's 1st teaching. I believe TT is reciiting the sutra (teaching), not just the mantra. Based on studying Tibetan Buddhism, when she speaks of the "God" within, she actually speaks of Buddha Nature, which, from a Buddhist perspective, we all share. My wish is that those who hear her will contemplate the meaning, and respect all belief systems. Om Mani Padme Hum.

  • I love her. She is so beautiful, talented, and just wonderful.

  • It chant my life too... is hard to explain ... you need try ;)

  • I was in a car accident and I saw God. There is a God.

  • The americans like country, rap and redneck songs.

    Song's Tina Turner goes unnoticed.

  • or maybe not

  • hallo everybody,

the best answer of the whole diskussion is

    nam myoho renge kyo

    the truth is in it.

its not the question of who is wright or wrong.

president ikeda says: the target is, that all people getting happy.

that's what we are working on.

    best wishes

    manfred

  • @buddha23152 um ok I know about it

  • watch --Tina Turner-Rock 'N Roll Widow and Steel Claw-Johnny Carson's "The Tonight Show" 1982

  • I CTFUUUUUU WHEN I FIRST SAW THIS , BUT THIS IS GOOD . ITS GOOD TO HAVE FAITH

  • Amazing.

  • At the time I beileve that TIna Turner needed something to get pass the bad times.

  • @mralbertojones:

And more than 25 years later, she is still chanting.

Her 'bad' times have long gone, but she still is a Buddhist .

  • @888johngalt I just started chanting and I remember the first time I chanted, I felt so much better because the whole day before I did it ( I did it at night when everything was still and quiet) I felt bad the whole day. I love the way you put that "hypnotic". It is very hynotic when you chant. I love the way it makes me feel

  • My grandfather almost ran over Tina Turner on his horse before... XD

  • @ShanaenaeGrassyplace AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA WHAT?!

  • @trulychloe XD I'm not even kidding. I wish I were.

  • @ShanaenaeGrassyplace oooooooook

  • @phantomlyric- How is there "proof" that god doesn't exist? And what would be an example of such a proof? You ruin your own positions with talks of "evidence." No doubt in my mind there is something greater than ourselves, but there is no proof, only experience.

  • @2Halifaxion2 How is there "proof" that god exist? None of us has seen such a god before, not in this lifetime!!! There is no evidence at all to show god exist, proof it in front of my own eye!!! LOL!

  • @rainesam How can God see God?!? You are looking for your own self.Just turn back from this questioning mind and see yourself first. Give a humble try without any resistance. I could try to show you the path if you like......Peace and Love!!

  • @leoking98320 Exactly, what I mean all this while is that God is inside us, there isn't any need to seek god externally, we are all gods, so no need to believe in any external "god". Each of us has the potential to become "God" within ourselves, that is the act of Bodhisattva : compassion to save every human being.

  • @leoking98320 We don't seek a phantom "God" outside us but internalise the nature of "God" within. Therefore it is not wrong to chant, as we embrace the Life and Law of the Universe, Nam-Myoho-renge-Kyo.

  • @rainesam I agree with "Nam-myoho-renge-kyo" but I don't agree with your judgmental tone as to say that non Buddhist people are searching for a "phantom". That is so disrespectful to millions of followers. A great quote from Thich Nhat Hanh, a Vietnamese Zen master, says "Do not be idolatrous about or bound to any doctrine, theory, or ideology, even Buddhist ones. Buddhist systems of thought are guiding means; they are not absolute truth."

  • @rainesam I think trying to prove God to your eyes would contradict the powerful purpose for the believer in God. To believe in God requires faith which isn't tangible to the senses. In fact the Christian bible says, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things NOT SEEN". So your request is doctrinally unfulfillable.

  • @rainesam looking for god...is like the fish swimming around in the ocean asking all the other fish...where is the water...

  • @liveinthenow7 Exactly, We don't seek a phantom "God" outside us but internalise the nature of "God" within. Therefore it is not wrong to chant, as we embrace the Life and Law of the Universe, Nam-Myoho-renge-Kyo.

  • @2Halifaxion2 there is no proof that he does. I believe sentient humans are set apart by virtue of their discernment. Humans do not posses the power or understanding of the universe, nor will this corporeal existence enable it. Nichiren Shoshu just tunes you in to the universe and how you can connect through sound and study. Basic philosophies of this faith are coming to light in the theorem of "String Theory Physics". I am a scientist that clearly recognizes - the first atom had a source.

  • @888johngalt what do you? just curious if you don't mind explained. TY

  • ALRIGHT TINA...MAN I LOVE HER!

  • 3:01 3:55 and so00000ld for $ 3,987.00 dollars.

  • @LA6616 then a pillar hits her and she gets slower lol

  • @jcdent798310 what are you talking about?

  • grande!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I <3 Tina

  • Amazing!

  • She did her chant extremely well.

  • @matbell Yes, we do believe in other dimension, which cannot be seen but it exist, it is none other than the Universal Law of Nam Myoho Renge Kyo, it pulsate within each of us (both living and non-ling things) and throughtout the whole universe, it is limitless and dimensionless. The moment you awaken to this truth, you have attain Buddhahood in this lifetime.

  • I may practice this :)

  • @chadastanley U r always welcome to give it a try, can search for Soka Gakkai International for contact details or Soka Gakkai USA if u r from the States.

  • @rainesam Thanks, People really do not have an open mind. The way she explains her faith sounds like everyone can practice it no matter what their faith is. =-) Its simple meditation :)

  • @chadastanley how does one have an open mind?

  • @trulychloe By not putting limits to what is normal in your mental view of reality. For example, its to accept everyone and everything as a possibility of normality. You may not agree with everything or everything but with an open mind on all subjects towards all people you are on your way to knowing the humble truths about life... from knowing the creator of life to understanding wisdom and knowledge on such a level you would never know otherwise. Bless you my friend!

  • Comment removed

  • @chadastanley bless you too!

  • @rainesam This person is lucky as a one eyed turtle finding a floating log of sandal wood! Nourish each shakubuku! This is someone who wants to undertake their human revolution!

  • @chadastanley

Yes, it is open to everyone.

Try it, research it for your country - look up SGI or Soka Gakkai International.

Local groups will be glad to welcome and support you.

As a former Christian and (now) happy Buddhist I suggest that you set aside any previous religious beliefs and start afresh to get the best from your chanting.

Personally, I don't believe in a traditional "God" as in Christianity / Judaism / Islam.

Feel free to contact me if you're in the UK.

  • When she says Nam-myoho-renge-kyo fast, it almost sounds like she's saying "I got him yawling." When I first heard this chant years ago, I thought that's what it actually was. Lol.

  • @LeadGuitarist1991 That's one thing I have to say is just interesting...I've heard some people chant to where it had a consistent pulsing sound to it that (if you weren't really thinking about it too hard) would sound almost like a rhythmic pattern on a wood block... Others have had sounds that were like harmonizing tones. I've always found it fascinating.

  • God dang!!!!!!!! lol!!

  • I love Tina!!!!!

  • Tina is so beautiful. I want to marry her.

  • I love Buddhism...But I still believe in God.

BTW - That fast prayer/chanting she said at the end - What is it called?

  • @TheKimmieykimkim It's called 'gongyo'

  • that was amazinggg

  • LOL3:05:D

  • Can I just say that I got lost in her chanting.

  • I do not nor will I ever discount the fact that there is a God.

  • No God. and even he is alive we know he can do any thing he is powerless lot

  • Tina la Duraaa!!!!

  • I love love Tina Turner but that was the funniest thing I have ever heard..I'm crying in laughter over here!

  • @eduardot64 oh man, if you only knew what all she said meant.... I thought it was just beautiful. Tina Turner is a very inspiring woman.

  • @daclarinetchicky so you can translate the meaning of the words she says?

  • @7shakeNbake Yes, some of it. It's really, really deep. She recited the first part of the Lotus Sutra and (the part that sounded like the same thing over and over) was Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo. Each syllable has meaning, too. As in any religion, it is all about interpretation and I've been to meetings where we all sit around and discuss our interpretations. Unfortunately, it's not giving me enough characters to explain. My favorite is "Renge", which literally translates to Lotus Flower.

  • @eduardot64 Man, if only you knew what the meaning was. I've studied the translations and it is extremely deep. I thought it sounded absolutely beautiful. Tina Turner is such an inspiring woman.

  • No need for me to be jealous of "god" b'cos there isn't such a thing in existence at all. It is just men own creation!

  • @rainesam There is more proof that God exists than there is proof that he does not. Just because you say he doesn't exist, doesn't make it so.

  • @PhantomLyric There isn't any proof that God exists. Man is the one created "God" not the other way round.

  • @rainesam As I said, there is more proof that God exist, than there is that he does not. Did George Washington exist?

  • @PhantomLyric Is George Washington a God? If he is not, then where is the proof that God exist???

  • Wonderful

  • Great video

  • There is a god in Buddhism but the god is in us, its like god is a part of us instead of a external god instead of a god to be found out their, god is within us we are god he is a part of us and he is with us all the time. Most of living i think is to understand this and not to be afriad of the powers within. I really do believe the biggest thing people fear is the greatness of themselves, Buddhism to be is understanding the oneness of all things that are.

  • Nam myo ho renge kyo is soo damn powerful. I am doing it for weeks and I cannot stop smiling and chanting.

  • @rainesam I wouldn't go so far to say that, personally... I've been an SGI member for almost twenty years and I think it is important for people to explore their curiosities and learn from what it is they see proof from. I personally think it is important to believe in yourself. Believe that you can make a difference in your own life, as well as anyone that is (or will be) in your life at one point or another.

  • Am a roman catholic but a wnt believe in sumthing or sumone I can't see n thats my opinion

  • @ellie4102

There are some things that cannot be understood or examined by physical means.

  • just an awesome person

  • :-) we are all govern by the mystic law, even G and ABC also 123 :-)

  • mojorumbokabolobo what ?

  • @jimmytube177 ather 3:05 im thinking ..... what the hell is she saying???? lol haha

  • MissMidora. I'd never thought of it that way. Thank you for the reply

  • What's the word she says at 1:26 after she says :"what do you call..."??

  • @sergio3680 avon !!!

  • thanks tina turner..eye innerstand

  • There is no God in Buddhism, each of us has the potential to become "God" within ourselves, that is the act of Bodhisattva : compassion to save every human being. • @rainesam There is a god, god is us. in us we are all gods apart of a larger god. everything is a part of a larger thing. and we are to that to god

  • @Gabriellecnnnghm bullshit because u say that EVERTHING is a part of a larger thing. then u dont believe in god because u r saying that he too is only a part of a larger thing as well... then, there would be no end to the "Gods" in the larger "Gods".... ix-nay... oppid-stay..

  • @chickun1soup80 No you misread what I said, I said everything is part of a larger thing but the ultimate is God who created all but in this world we are all connected small to large. Everyone should know god is all and all that will ever be, but I didnt think I had to emphasize that lol but for you I guess..

  • @Gabriellecnnnghm bitch please u r very uneducated. u dont have to emphasize anything to me. if your statement made sense the first time you wouldn't have had to worry about me commenting being that i am a believer of God, too dummy. its people like you that cause other people to not believe because what u say sounds like bull and just some crap YOU made up in your own head. sayin 2 diff. things. but thanks for saying what u meant to say the first time. high school diploma ass...
