Bayley tower is being taken down as I speak it was delayed as they found a family of peregrine falcons nesting on the roof.Stoneycroft is also being pulled down.
My family watched this tower block being built, and then watched it demolished years later. It was such a relief to have it gone, and am pleased the government have arranged to get the other two towers on the estate demolished in the future - despite the tories and lib dems wanting to move asylum seekers into the tower blocks!!!
bayley tower and stoneycroft are now down. end of an era i say. i grew up on the bromford i love the place. proper estate with a proper personality.
