How beautiful your sandaled feet, O prince’s daughter! Your graceful legs are like jewels, the work of an artist’s hands. Your navel is a rounded goblet that never lacks blended wine. Your waist is a mound of wheat encircled by lilies. Your breasts are like two fawns, like twin fawns of a gazelle. Your neck is like an ivory tower. Your eyes are the pools of Heshbon by the gate of Bath Rabbim. Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon looking toward Damascus.
Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel. Your hair is like royal tapestry; the king is held captive by its tresses. How beautiful you are and how pleasing, my love, with your delights! Your stature is like that of the palm, and your breasts like clusters of fruit. I said, “I will climb the palm tree; I will take hold of its fruit.” May your breasts be like clusters of grapes on the vine, the fragrance of your breath like apples, and your mouth like the best wine.
What is this smut I’m making you read in the middle of arguing about scripture… Her breast are like fruit and you want to take hold of her fruit! Your going to grab her tits! wow!!! I must be a sinner! Can anyone tell me where this is from?
Besides, it is not about 'sex' it is about maturity and sincerity of commitment, not wheather or not your woman wears high heels. If you treat her good she will want to wear them for you. ;)
What does this have to do with the Gospel. I guess I missed the verse that said, go forth and teach people how to have a more fullfilling sex life? what has happened to some Christians?
Hey Ted, why don't you get off your soap box! In the book of Genesis God did say to go forth and multiply, fill the Earth! Being a Christian is all about sex; why do you think people in porn refrence God so much? How are you going to get your spouse to meet all your sexual needs unless you put it in writing? I think you missed what makes Christianity so relevant in our society; don't loose sight of the fact that Jesus died so that we could be fulfilled in every way; it's all about US!
Stop over reacting! This challenge isn't just about sex. In fact it is more about communication, which is lacking in most relationships and is a huge factor in divorce, so why shouldn't you go to church to learn how to build a stronger family and relationship through God?
we shouldn't be tyring to have to make God seem "COOL" by the world's standards and talk about stuff "RELEVANT." This church is acting screwy. They challenge the singles to not have sex for 30 days. Ok...WHY?? Their answer: to strengthen relationships-- current and future. HA! And I always thought it was a SIN to have sex outa marriage. That would be reason enough for me to not have sex-- God's WORD says so. Instead this "relevant" church steers clear of "sin" in reference to it. Sad.
It has nothing to do with making God "COOL" and everything to do with helping people connect to Him. People all over this world are seeking answers to the world's questions. Anything that leads these seekers to God's Word is "RELEVANT" in my eyes and right on target with the mission God has called us to do. I assume that you have no sin in your life since God's Word says "don't sin" and you obviously do what exactly what God's Word says every day. Sounds like a pharisee to me.
Lets all pull our heads out of our asses. We as humans, have no right to judge others as we are ALL sinners ourselves. I am so sick and tired of intolerant "Christians" running their mouths and giving the rest a bad name. Instead of condemning people, we should be helping them. They may not make the best choice but maybe we can help them to make a BETTER choice.
we have no right to judge others? So when Paul told those who preached a false gospel to "go to Hell" in Galatians 1:6-10... that wasn't judging? Or when Jesus told us we can judge a tree by its fruit... we can tell whether or not someone is behaving Godly or unGodly by their actions... that was all just teasing, eh?
I'm intolerant of heresy and stupidity in the church. Last I checked our God was intolerant of man's attempts to approach God on man's terms with strange fire.
WE as mortal "men" have NO right to judge others, that is for God and God alone. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" We are all sinners and therefore have absolutely no right to judge others.Premarital sex is a sin, but so is lying and most people have lied once of twice in their life. As long as they are both/all consenting adults that it is not our issue. It is between them and God....
And again... Paul was sinning when he wrote Scripture... Galatians 1:6-10. Dude... you are judging me? Do you know that? You are saying that I can't judge other people. You are MAKING A JUDGMENT! LoL. You are saying that my declaring, biblically, that there are things that are WRONG is incorrect.
Furthermore... Jesus in that context was speaking of the person. Don't entrap someone in sin and kill them for it. But He also said GO AND SIN NO MORE! Judge the sin... but not the motive.
@jesusfreakrkg Don't know if troll... You can tell someone has fallen away and it not be judgmental. Would I be judging you if I said the way you formed your post was confusing? No, it would be stating something that is observable, just like Paul did.
In fact, since the challenge started, I have the word sex like 4 times in church. Also, I have been told that I am a failure husband. Well, not really, but the challenge has biblicaly made me realize that I need to serve my wife and not just myself.
It has also pointed out, yet again, that Jesus cares deeply about marriages working. And that a christian marriage is the best that the world can see.
Did somebody puke on his T-shirt...?

nothing to do with god, why is this taught at church?

The church has no business in anyone's bedroom.
Besides, it is not about 'sex' it is about maturity and sincerity of commitment, not wheather or not your woman wears high heels. If you treat her good she will want to wear them for you. ;)

@tedted33 I do not see how it has to do with christianity but as for a healthy relationship it does wonders.
