@bigredlaing Slayer is a fun band to listen to and they have an exceptional drummer, but musically they just don't have a lot to their band. As much as I like them I really don't see how people can give them so much credit. The fact that they have a bigger following than Anthrax BAFFLES me. Anthrax had way better vocals, catchier songs, more memorable riffs, better lead work, better bass lines, better art work and yet Slayer have had more success. Never got it, never will.

slayer = heavy, speed

not a competition here but i kinda choose megadeth rather than slayer, their song writing is far more complex, and the lyrics are awesome. slayer's lyrics is just too much of bashing-here-bashing-there song that became too boring. (same stuff over and over again gets boring.)not a dis to slayer.

but sometimes it bothers me if slayer really belong to thrash, they kind of belong to black metal, just my thoughts...
