  • dennis not got a chance in hell. EVIL DICTATOR GIULIANI WILL RULE AMERICA RUTHLESSLY WITH AN IRO N FIST. you have been warned.

  • KUCINICH IS THE MAN!!! He is a true visionary! VERY ELECTABLE!!! GET to CAucus! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD! HERE"S OUR CHANCE!!!

    KUCINICH'08

  • Americas last hope KUCINICH 2008* I love him !

  • The republicans say that being against the war is being against the troops! Bullshit!!!! They try to drive that home to support their idiotic party! Look at the troubles we have with Bush spending and who will pay in the future! Our kids and grandkids! Bush does not care! He will be kicked out on his keister soon!

  • Any INTELLIGENT socialists out there? This guy is a total idiot. Total demogogue. Not adequately informed on his own issues. Failed to answer questions. "Everybody knows that when insurance companies compete, prices go up, not down". The man is an economic illiterate. Econ 101. Most people know that competition reduces prices.(Inflation is caused by other factors. The people making money are doctors, hospitals, drug companies, etc.) How can any long-term polifician because ignorant?

  • How would you fix the health care in the US if you think Kucinich doesn't know what he is doing?

  • Fix healthcare? Why? Its really not broken. Generally, its just expensive because too many want to live forever. Do you know what percent of expenditures are in last year of life, even for seniors? Socialists love to talk about "big fixes" often when there is no real solution. Instead, ask yourself how you will take care of yourself and your family. This country is starting to go wimp. China will soon be eating your lunch.

  • How can you attack an honest man like Kucinich, then subscribe to all the crap someone like Giuliani has to say; the guy can't even answer where he was on 9/11 without double-talking. It's apparent you don't give a shit about the poor people of America, probably because you've never had to worry about something as basic as health care... Your an old-fashioned, anti-progressive, bloated government team-player who gives a middle finger to the needy.

  • So far, I am not a G supporter. However, He does have 20 IQ points on K.

  • No he doesn't; you pulled that trivial, lame fact out of your ass and you know it. If your not a G supporter, why are you a subscriber of his crap (your home base profile).

By the way, intelligent people usually don't have sex with their cousins (except apparently for Giuliani, huh?)

  • And another thing cruthsader- before you go running off to that retirement home/golf course to go nail 70-year-old women in the next 10-15 years, you might want to think about switching parties; Republicans (including your buddy Giuliani) are trying to privatize social security- you may not have anything left. Then you might be wishing for universal health care to take care of you when your shitting your pants and have cancer eating away at your organs but can't afford health care...!

  • K is an Honest IDIOT. Progressive = Socialist. WitchPenis? Bizarre ambi-sexual name. What kind of freak are you? Are you a transexual seeking a government paid sex-change? Why don't you and your socialist friends start your own non-profit health plan, instead of stealing from others? Be a big boy (or girl). If you will not be able to take care of yourself, perhaps you might just check-out instead of mooching, so you can live "forever"?

  • Apparently, Kucinich did not listen to the lady's question, understand the question, or did not want to answer the question, and he obviously knows next to nothing about even even Universal Health Care, not to mention insurance. He did not respond to the rationing question, but seems to be programmed to spew out Socialist rhetoric. Not able to THINK on feet.

  • Good thing this commie isn't that bright or good looking. Hey buffoon, if there were'nt insurance companies, we would'nt have insurance. The insurance companies don't cause poverty. you are a told idiot. No wonder you are going to lose.

  • Kucinich's health care plan will allow us NOT to need insurance companies, his plan will ELIMINATE the middle man and will send the money to pay for Health Care directly to where it's needed. Hence, Universal Health Care.. READ the legislation HR 676 and then go watch SickO

  • Kucinich's health care plan will allow us NOT to need insurance companies, his plan will ELIMINATE the middle man and will send the money to pay for Health Care directly to where it's needed. Hence, Universal Health Care.. READ the legislation HR 676 here and then watch SickO

  • Hey, Moron. You posted twice. Why don't you just change your name to "I'm a commie that needs government to take care of me." HecGirl, there ARE some socialist countries that you live in. Why not go there? Michael Moore is a morally degenerate fat pig, and his movie has been discredited.

  • Hey, Dick.. WHY do u think his movie has been discredited?? Michael Moore is a threat to all drugs companies, health insurance companies and politicians making tons of money off of this system. The Media controls all and as we all know money rules the world.. it doesnt take much to figure out dat ppl can be bought to say watever THEY want to keep Moore at bay.. unnoticed... and even discredited

  • Here's a tutorial you and other economic illiterates. Insurers just finance care. Doctors and Hospitals and trial lawyers get most of the money. Michael Moore? Remember, a picture is worth a 1000 words. The man? is a PIG. Moore has limited credibility with most Americans, including even some leftist commies, like you. Remember this the next time you walk by a panhandler, you phoney.

  • He's too smart and honest to be president, unfortunately.

  • Kick ass.

  • Ridiculous spending is what Bush does so screw him!

  • Kucinich is not going to be spending any more or any less than Bush's dumbass.. What he's changing is who he's giving the money to.. he says 4get insurance companies... the government controls the money and directs it to where its needed.

    Dennis K. 4 President!!!

  • This guy means well, but he says "healthcare is a right, not a priviledge" which makes him a complete idiot.

  • This guy is a badass. I might just vote this year - my first time ever.

  • Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul for presidnet/vice president :)

  • Nonsense. Kucinich is a socialist meathead and Paul is a Republican libertarian. Oil and vinegar.

  • Dennis Kucinich for PRESIDENT ... 2008 ...

  • so, merely because high taxes did not work under the carter administration that means high taxes do not work? they work in denmark. i have a friend named rasmus from denmark and he worries for nothing. pretty much all european countries pay higher taxes than us. along with australia, new zealand, and japan. wonder why they havent switched back to our wonderful tax system?

  • haha ok so im not a patriot. i am unamerican because i speak out against something that i believe to be running america into the ground. love your logic.

  • "proven"? thats odd. if we are going to waste like we do then we will have to raise taxes. otherwise, we will continue to be the least educated western country in the world. our infrastructure will continue to kill people. our country's debts will continue to crush the poor and middle class. i either support VERY high taxes or VERY low taxes, nothing in between.

  • personal experience merely shouldnt be misused as it often is. personal experience shouldnt be transfered to assume that overall world trends are the same or even similar. especially since individuals are more prone to bias. you said the most true statement of us both yet to prove it..."everything is a metter of perspective."

  • the "wrench"....many electric cars and fuel effecient prototype cars have been bought out by oil companies before they ever reach the markent. then, they never do. oil runs the world and the world's governments. if they didnt, who knows what new technologies may be in use? who knows what programs the government would be in support of to offset mid east oil dependence and polution?

  • there are TONS of instances where nations have been successfully conquered and taken over. i am speaking of a nation trying to occupy another, separate, nation and try to mold that country or exploit that country. never works. if we wanted to take iraq over im sure we could. but we will not succeed in what we are trying to do unless we have a draft and DRASTICALLY raise taxes. maybe not even then.

  • no, i wasnt saying that historical fact shouldnt be involved in a decision. what i was saying was that historical precident is not on the side of someone who would claim that "occupying nations have historically done well." also, you seem to think i mean "conquered" nations.....

  • there may be good reasons for going to iraq. success from a historical precident is not one of them and only a fool would argue that it is. it would appear that you and i cant really agree on anything lol. do you agree that this font is black?

  • what about the whole of africa shaking of colonial powers? what about india and taiwan vs the UK....ever heard of Ghandi? ever heard of south africa and aparteid? france and algeria? in fact, who DREW the borders for nearly every 3rd world country in the world?! why arent they there anymore?......

  • "how did every nation including the US, UK, China and France come to power"

feeble attempt at an arguement. you are certainly grasping at straws on this one. the only thing they occupy is the borders that they emerged into. yes, there have been severl rehasings of the borders on all these coutries. the US is the only exception with the defeat of the indians, wow........

  • personal experience is one of the most biased forms of evidence there is. it is highly and reliably invalid, especially when considering overall trends in the world. google, "availability heuristic" for an example. citing of common sense really means nothing. this is also why eye witness testimony is garbage. it is the worst form of evidence there is. google Dr. Loftus (famous sociologist).

  • this is just my belief. but i feel that very powerful people in our country and around the world tend to "throw a wrench" in attempts to find alternative fuels and especially more efficient ways to burn the fuels we have. i think these people have committed treason and should be removed from their postions. to me, this is a conflict of interest and has put the country in danger and money in their pockets.

  • you say historical fact has to come into play in making decisions about policy when evidence is lacking. what about the historical fact that occupying nations almost NEVER win? the UK, france, china, and the USA can attest to that historical trend i assure you. here again, you choose only historical facts that support your belief.

  • you keep coming back to "common sense" claims. who doenst think they are great common sense thinkers? also, there was a psychological study done a few years ago that implies "common sense" rationality is often wrong. the problem with this way of thinking is it is arrogant and notoriously shallow. also common sense is a paradox. specifically, what is common sense to one may not be to another.

  • first of all, everyone thinks they have the ability to distinguish between bull shit and real facts. "it is not that hard buy you have to try!" are you trying to say that i dont try? i spend a great deal more time than probably 90% of americans concerning myself with our leaders. that doesnt make me right, but it certainly doesnt mean that i dont try. i dont need your patronizing encouragement to do something you assume im not doing.

  • the largest problem with bias is the differing level of scrutiny. a biased liberal will gladly accept evidence supporting his beliefs. but once a conservative makes a claim, he/she will find every reason why it may be wrong. "nothing is so easy as to fool one's self, we readily believe what we want to believe" ~Demosthenes

  • i understand how important oil is. i also understand what you said about how it is basically the lone candidate for meeting our energy needs. however, that doesnt mean that finding alternatives shouldnt be a MAJOR goal for our country. it could mean so much to us economically and security wise if we even cut our consumption in half.

  • "backing up with evidence" also doesnt support your claim. biased people see evidence where there may be none. biased people also accept evidence from other biased sources thus, perpetuating the problem even further.

  • "freedom from future slaver"? what is that a reference to? no i didnt hear his syria speech.

  • i think iraq is the worst sponsor of terrorists, not iran. and whats worse, this is a terrorist state created by us. we should have spent all the money that went to this war on finding alternative fuels. we wouldnt never have to put a toe in the middle east if it werent for oil concerns. we could leave them to their fate.

  • "Well, that can be said for every opinion in the world.."

i disagree. there are ways to protect yourself from being biased. though you are right...most everyone is biased like it or not on both sides of any issue. your claim that you investigate both sides and value common sense is irrelevant. EVERYONE thinks they do that. your opinion on whether or not you are biased is ironically, the opinion that matters least. same goes for me.

  • Thats exactly what I'm saying,

Kucinich isn't going to kill for peace

    Bush IS

Along with most American leaders in the past

We can't have peace at any cost, only with a logical cost, (peace with war, isn't peace/ peace with slavery, isn't peace)

  • how did kucinich commit treason?

  • haha i could show you video of bush murdering someone and you would make an excuse for him. you are not as critical of your own beliefs as you are of liberal ones. you will accept mediocre evidence on your behalf but once a liberal makes a claim...suddenly your a skeptic watchdog. dont feel bad, most liberals are exactly the same.

  • haha that wasnt the shah i was reffereing to. we installed his father. we are the reason radical islam was formed. why do you think they held our embassy hostage? its becuase we were trying to run their country for them.

  • confirmation bias. i respect you and your passion as a person It5lee. however, i think your views are what make this world a very dangerous place. ethnocentrism and nationalism are poison. it plagues us as well as the people we fight against. you all have the same mindset...think the same ways...just based upon differnt values.

  • That's the real problem, peace at any cost.

That's what we're doing right now.

With out terrorist we'll, our country will be more peaceful. With more oil, our economy will be more peaceful. So let's start killing to get our desires?!?!?

    Let's kill to stop killing?

    War for Peace?

We should be at a higher level of thought in our day and age, our leaders especially.

    Kucinich 2008!

  • wow. you got me, im a coward, fag, ant-american. you are really making a good example of what a true american should be. go freedom. fuck off you little gulliani bitch.

  • you are so like the people that you wage war against. two radical sides with the same feeble mentality....just holding different views. both sides refuse to question. both sides are ignorance masquerading as inlightenment. war is peace apparently.

  • first of all, i sent you a message...you should read it. secondly, you misspelled "ally" and "Shah" of Iran. the shah of iran, which we installed, is one reason why the middle east hates us. what would we do if another, more powerful country, installed a leader which we did not like. maybe we would become terrorists? the more we meddle in the affairs of other countries the more dangerous the world becomes for us. go read my message. should i give you instructions on how to find it?

  • It's a sad day when you have to justify peace

  • all the lies bush has made eh? ill send you a message. youve asked for a book that cannot be written here.

  • haha you moron. i didnt have to live through the carter administration to know plenty about it. the OPEC embargo had nothing to do with carter. blame it all on him why dont you hahaha. did you break your arm that year and it was his fault as well? so you are happy with the current economic situation in our country?

  • every single other first world country and several third world countries have universal healthcare. how uncivilized we Americans are, and always thinking we are so great. Kucinich will bring us back to actually being a first world nation again, with healthcare for all.

  • We have to battle fire with water, we have to use methods that do not involve violence in order to extinguish it. No one is saying not to fight, just to fight intelligently.

    Ahimsa - Non-Violent Resistance

    Lets use it!

Intelligently speaking, in the battle against violence and terrorism, peaceful methods are the only ones with a possibility of success.

  • I feel we are missing the basic logic of the question.

    This is the current proposition:

    Violence Vs. Violence = Peace

Shouldn't this be just common sense that this has no possibility for success?

Peace is obviously the opposite of violence, by definition.

So we can say logically that Violence does not equal Peace.

So if we add violence to violence your just going to get more violence.

    V + V = 2V

(By adding violence to violence we get more violence, not a lack thereof)

  • Check out this Kucinich poll

    it speaks for itself

    w w w . freewebs . com / eewebs / 382ej26f . htm

(delete the spaces in the address after pasting it)

  • if the republicans want to continue...they should think of a way that we CAN continue. bush's tax cuts have put an entire war on our country's credit card haha. my generation will get the bill (20's). thanks.

  • chechnya hates russia not us. actually, WMDs were the only stated reason at first. once we did not find them it switched to "freedom for the iraqi people." the sunnis have left baghdad, and with them any hope for a democracy. Iraq will be the largest terrorist state in the world that we have created. you could cut the irony with a chainsaw. we dont have the troops and we dont have the money. we borroy 3 billion a month from japan and china.

  • also, HUGE military no no to start a two front war...ask hitler. you are right, most people are happy that sadamm is gone. however, their lives are NOT better because of it. they cant even leave their houses now without worrying about death squads. we do not have enough troops there to police. they have no electricity or water...no medicine to cure common disease. they did have these things under sadam. all is not better.

  • i have ZERO military training. i do however, have a degree in psychology and a degree in sociology. i happen to realize that we are creating MORE al qaeda. they are recruiting better than ever. its like pulling gray hairs. when you insight hatred you create terrorists. you have to attack the DESIRE to become a terrorist. you can never kill them all.

  • so do you think bush has done ANYTHING wrong? if he WAS a terrible president, people like you would never know it. you seek only information that supports your belief. any scientist will tell you...if you want to prove something, try to disprove it and see if you can.

  • i see "spin" because i am a critical thinker. i call liberals out on their lack of objectivity as well. none of you understand what evidence for beliefs really is. google "confirmation bias" and you will understand your entire personality.

  • face it. we focused on the wrong country. we should have stayed in afghanistand to catch bin laden. instead we committed a HUGE military no no....start a two front war. now we are failing at both. iraq is a bigger terrorist state than any in the world and it is BECAUSE of our invasion. have you ever read the 9/11 commission report?

  • HAHAHA I dont know history?! i just graduated with a double degree in sociology and psychology. history is my passion. if you knew so much history maybe you would know that an occupying force almost NEVER succeeds in their occupation or nation building. you assume you know all liberals. liberals have a great deal of within group variability as do conservatives. dont generalize.

  • you are missing my point. my fault. i dont care about the wmd, and dont assume that i havent read such reports. there are many countries with such weapons that hate us. why dont we attack them? you are also missing the point about proving a negative. the burden of proof is on the person making the claim in any situation. there is tons of circumstantial evidence that sadamm had wmds but no PROOF. and furthermore, i dont care.

  • bush is a joke and once all the rhetoric is gone...once he cant call anyone unamerican for questioning him...once all the conservative spin is gone...he will go down as the worst president thus far in history. our country is more hated around the world than ever. higher debt than ever. more terrorists than ever. money in the hands of the rich only. thanks W.

  • who said i was against war?! im not against war! im against wars that are not needed. you believe that we needed to go into iraq for our country's safety.....i do not. i suppose you believe that "freedom isnt free" as well dont you?

  • bush has had plenty of lies. the misappropriation of treasury approved funds. "mission accomplished" "we know where they are (WMD), they are in the areas around Tikrit and Baghdad." bush is a fake christian as well. people like you who refuse to question are the same type of people that supported hitler. if you question your government your "treasonous"?! what a damn joke.

  • "ZERO evidence that they never existed"~it5lee

what a joke you are. you cannot prove a negative. there is a flying spaghetti monster and it exists merely because you cannot prove that it doesnt. that is how ridiculous your argument is. who cares if they did or didnt have them? irrelevant.

  • Okay, being against the war is NOT being unpatriotic. If you think they are just because they are anti-war, I want you to read what Teddy Roosevelt had to say about blind patriotism.

  • i would gladly serve if i was drafted into an honest war that we need to be in. democrats arent liberal, just kucinich. the rest are just LESS conservative. they are already serving under a traitor who sent us to war based upon lies. bush fools you all with his accent and the feeling that you could have a beer with him. "hell, he could be your neighbor." you are all sheep. refuse to question. you just suck up every shallow slogan the republicans throw out. "freedom isnt free" etc...

  • you are an idiot. you lack an understanding of the world around you and the people in it. you refuse to be self critical and respect other opinions. this coming from a person with degrees in psychology and sociology. quit watching fox news and read a book.

  • DENNIS KUCINICH is the ONLY ONE who has a plan and willingness for single payer not for profit HEALTH CARE! Dennis Kucinich 2008!

    dennis4president(dot)com

    dennis4president

  • There's this guy I know who is more capable of running the country than any 'real candidate'. And what is his qualifications? He took a bullet to the brain and just calmly asked for beer. How many of your precious candidates can say that? Eh?

  • Ron Paul is the only presidential candidate that follows nothing but the United States Constitution. He votes for, and ONLY for, things that are directly supported by the States Constitution. His voting record will show it! He is for small government, and wants to keep the government out of our daily lives. A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for the beliefs of our founding fathers,

    RON PAUL 2008!!!

  • I am voting for the charming, compassionate, courageous, brilliant DENNIS KUCINICH 2008!

  • I agree with him that his system would be better, at least in the short term. But I do not believe that profit is a thief. Would anyone argue that if we removed profit from the electronics industry, we'd have better electronics? All we need are pre-approved medical loans for all. Get rid of insurance but let the hospitals still profit.

  • Given the far reaching global impact of US foreign policy, the ENTIRE WORLD has a vested interest in the US 2008 presidential elections, therefore as an outsider looking in; would it be too much to ask for the right to vote for Dennis Kucinich!! He has the potential to be the most ennobling 'world' leader ever! (Ron Paul 2nd IMHO!!). What I do know is that it would break the back bone of the global community if a candidate of the likes of Bush were to be elected.

    Dennis Kucinich 2008

  • Hey, if you're in the campaign, tell Dennis there are some great campaign songs at searchword wilburjr-thanks.

  • why is he speaking in spanish.....is this no longer an english speaking country? Please call me a racist i beg of you

  • windy people who work in this country deserve the best you dumb ass! Bush is a retard!

  • Bush is a yale, harvard grad, and a pilot, don't believe for a second what he is doing is not planned.

  • yeah... he's all those things his dad bought for him. planned by cheney maybe

  • Kucinich is the only candidate who actually cares about the American people, not to mention people all over the world. He continued his campaign in 2004 even after Kerry was nominated because he cares about getting the message out, not just having power.

    KUCINICH 2008

  • Kucinich voted to decrease the age teenagers could be tried as an adult on drug charges - Kucinich was 90% of his career Pro-Life and voted for pro-life funding. Kucinch backed every single Nationa Building Schema Prez Clinton proposed - more troops died under Clinton than Bush. Kucinich voted down tax breaks that would have benefited the middle class (the backs whose labor supports the country). Ron Paul 08

  • It's not about dems and republicans.. Most of them are saying the same thing anyway.. Look for the someone with principles on either side of the table.

btw, who's going to pay for kucinich's "medicare-for-all"...

    si se puede? what?

  • Democrat is a great word and republican is a bigot word! Screw you republicans!

  • Because your are right about that, depending on who would be elected, i doubt in some cases, they would appoint the most qualified person for "heatlh care reform", would prolly be someones college roomate : /

  • Tell me...anyone...1 thing the U.S. Government has improved, made more efficient, or more cost effective by taking it over. I can't think of any.

  • All I'm saying is - Profit should never be in the same sentence as healthcare, and it pretty much only is in the US.

  • Well, we have a capitalist system here, not a communist or socialist system. We believe in free enterprise. Again, tell me one thing, taken over by the US Government that has become more efficient or cost effective.

  • I cant give you one thing, everything in the states has, or seems to have to turn a profit.

  • Exactly. Nothing has ever been made better by turning it over to the Government. So why would we even consider turning over the entire healthcare system over to the Government, if we know historically nothing has ever been improved by doing so? How does that make any sense to anyone? Lets give the most screwed up thing we have to the worst managers in the history of the country. Yeah...that should fix it right up!

  • I see your point, see FEMA, lol. So, does that mean you like Ron PAul's "Free market" America?

  • On the surface it sounds interesting, but I would need to learn more about it. I am glad you follow my main point here. Traditionally, the U.S. Government creates more bureaucracy and adds more levels of convolution to any process. They are the worst managers of systems in history, and we want to try to turn the most currently convoluted, most messed up system we have to the absolute worst managers in the world. How does that possibly make sense?

  • IDK, I agree with your point, prolly why most ppl hate the word "bureaucracy". But that does'nt mean it's impossible, what would you rather? Some sort of protection for the 50 mil uninssured ppl? Because for the "best" nation in the world to have 50 mil ppl in that situation seems unacceptable.

  • Okay, so why not help the 50 million (Approx) get insurance, instead of turning the whole system over to the ineptitude of the Federal Government and screw up medical care for rest of the 250 Million (Approx) who do have insurance? We are going to chance the entire system to Federal mismanagement for 1/6th the population? Why not concentrate on the few who do not have. BTW: How many of the 50 Mil have been turned away at a hospital? How many illegals?

  • I see your point. But there's 50 mil w/o insurance, 50 mil with crappy insurance that will fight the doctors on everything, and theres also ppl who pay alot for good insurance and never get sick or rarely do. I'm not saying your wrong about about "ineptitude of the Federal Government and screw up medical care for rest of the 250 Million (Approx) who do have insurance". Just saying I think more ppl would benefit from "free" healthcare then your saying.

  • "Free"...I love that. What in life is "free"? It may be "free" to those who will not work. It is not "free" to those who will work. They will have to pay more than they do already for those who refuse to work. The idea that the Government has an endless supply of money and can take care of everything is called communism. Remember the Soviet Union?

  • lol... Now your not making sense. You dont need an endless supply of money to get UHC. (You might need it to finance a war with Iraq and Iran) Anyways, "free" was in "" was'nt it? "It may be "free" to those who will not work. It is not "free" to those who will work. They will have to pay more than they do already for those who refuse to work." Idk what your refering to by this? Medical staffs? Tax payers?

  • What part do you not understand? People who work pay tax. People who don't work do not. Think about it. Why work? All it does is make you responsible to pay for people who refuse to work. Why not just freeload and get someone else to pay for you? Someone has to pay, and that goes back to those who pay most. Middle class suckers. Hillary isn't going to pay. Obama isn't going to pay. GW isn't going to pay. They are all well off enough not to have to pay taxes.

  • Yeah.... I'm sure that's the American dream. Live with the bear minimum, but at least you have healthcare!!! I dont think it would promote laziness, it does'nt in the other countries with UHC.

  • Is that the "Polar bear" minimum, the "Koala bear" minimum or the "Grizzly bear" minimum? Or, could you possibly have meant "Bare" minimum? I think we need to quit this debate and talk more about spending for education.

  • Ohh no windy! I'm terribly sorry I spelt a word incorrectly. Guess that's what happens when your ESL. How many languages are you fluent in? As for "So what if the top 5% decide to change countries of residence to avoid paying for this. Then what? " Am I even supposed to address this? It's ridiculous to think that. Rich does'nt always = greed. As for "the top 5% make the laws" .....? Maybe the laws are made FOR the top 5%, but they are'nt made by them, lol...

    "

  • Oh come now, that was funny stuff. "Bear minimum"... ESL??? hmmm...Educated in South Louisiana? Exceptionally Stupid and Lazy? Especially Slow Learner? Bottom line: This Government will not be able to pay for much as soom as 1/3 of the income tax stops flowing, when 90 million baby-boomers stop paying income tax and start collecting Social Security in the next 20 years.

  • You dont know what ESL is.... ?

  • No.

  • K, we'll sorry. ESL = English sencond language.

  • Well if you say it fast ("Essell") it sounds like a derrrogatory comment. Either way, why is it anyone's repsonsibility but your own for you health? Why is paying for things that benefit you, always someone else's responsibility? Why isn't it YOUR responsibility? Isn't it YOUR health?

  • windy39, it's not about people being responsible for their own health. it's about people BEING ABLE to take responsibility for their own health. I bet you don't say things like that when you're driving on that road I helped pay for, i bet you enjoy being able to call the fire department if your house catches fire, don't you. Guess what. Your neighbors help pay for that for you.

  • All you Liberals like to pull out fire departments and police. Paid for by local, not Federal taxes. And as much as you paid for those things, so did I.

  • Ahh the fire department? Police? You don't want your SS or medicare when you get older? How about our military? Do you use the Postal service or UPS to mail letter and why is that?

  • Harry Truman campaigned on Universal Health Care (UHC) back in 1948. Almost 70 years ago, and we still don't have it. Why? Because it is not viable. If it were, LBJ would have done it when he had a rubber stamp Congress that gave us all the other welfare and entitlement programs we now pay over 80% of our taxes on. UHC is a joke and it will never happen.

  • You think 80% of your taxes go to entitlement programs? You listen to Rush or Savage?

  • I listened to my Government professor in college.

  • If it's a joke why do all the other countries have free UHC?

  • I spent time on an airplane with a man who was born and raised in Canada. He now lives in Texas, coming to America because of his lack of heathcare in Canada. Had he stayed there, he would be dead now. There is 1 machine he needed for a whole province, where there are 10 such machines in N. Dakota alone, and no waiting to use them. Just because other countries have it, does not make it good. Tell me 1 thing the US Gov ever took over that became better.

  • lol Windy39. Please tell me your comment is'nt based on that one person. PRetty much everyone in the world knows that the US healthcare system is great in the sense that the doctors are good and the equipment is superb, but that's only if you can afford it. I'm from canada, and I've been sick as much as the next guy, but I've never paid 1 cent. I can't speak for that man but I'm sure if what you said is correct, he's loaded.

  • How much do you pay in taxes to be able to afford not to pay a cent? Someone has to pay. Nothing is free. Here in the USA, the middle class, the people who work, would have to bear the highest tax burden...which we already do.

  • lol, come on man, it's technicaly not "Free", but you'll never receive a bill, or need the doctor/surgeon to get approuval from some guy in a cubicle. One reason I and many others dont even like visiting the states, is in case something happens, you end up in the hospital, and you leave with a huge bill, no ty..

  • Okay, back to the question. How much do you pay? How big is your tax bill? How much of your earned income do you get to keep?

  • if you had taken the time to read the bill you would know that the majority of the bill will be paid for by the top 5% of income earners

  • The top 5% are the people who make the laws and sign them. You think they will allow you to burden them with the financial responsibility of your health? So what if the top 5% decide to change countries of residence to avoid paying for this. Then what?

  • We all need to do our part to demand peace now. Dennis Kucinich asks every American to text the word PEACE, from any mobile phone, to the number 73223, the numeric spelling for p-e-a-c-e. Tell the White House you do not support the war and bring our troops home!

  • K U C I N I C H 2008- break dependence on oil, phony health insurance, remember that the subsidized universal healthcare that the other candidates propose would get the fat companies richer. Gay rights, pro-choice abortion, environment friendly, end war on drugs...KUCINICH 2008.

  • DEMOCRAT-PROGRESSIVE TRUCE FOR 2008:

    RALPH NADER FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL

How many of the Democratic candidates are willing to appoint and support Ralph Nader as Attorney General of the United States?

We would be guaranteed a full investigation into Iraq, Halliburton, wiretapping, healthcare/banking industries, and the current mess in the Justice Dept under Gonzales.

Can't we all agree on this? Nader for AG!

  • KUCINICH/KUCINICH(his Mrs.)2008. The WINNING(America wins and the rest of the world wins) ticket of Election '08. S I N G L E P A Y E R NOW!!!!

  • We must not allow unions, the media or those who only watch FOX news to decide for us. Not for Profit health care is the way to go! Pay attention to the other candidates who want to keep propping up insurance companies; Dennis has the courage, the ideas and the ideals. He's the one. I'm not afraid to vote for Kucinich. I'll write him in if I have to!

  • Dennis Kucinich is the tin-foil hat King! Yeay!

  • WAIT A MINUTE.....remeber the wolf in the sheeps clothing! This guy is just here to confuse us,i think.same shit they been doing for years! VOTE FOR RON PAUL!!!!

  • Kucinich will be president, if he doesn't there is serious something wrong with Americans.

  • Kucinich is one of those people who makes me feel good to be an American, given the last 6 years.

  • Amen to that ! i feel the same way!

  • The leaders of SEIU did not treat Democratic Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich, Chris Dodd, or Mike Gavel fairly.

  • After Hillary spoke, the busses from the SEIU pulled up to pick people up. Half the auditorium left. It wasn't because they only wanted to hear the first four. It was because SEIU had busses leaving to take the people back home. Do you think SEIU wants to keep its members from hearing Kucinich and Dodd? Those who stayed were very impressed with Kucinich and said ,"He is the only one who had anything to say."

  • He's the candidate for the people only the people can get the word out Tell everyone you can he is fighting for so much chech out his site.If you want GE foods to be labled he's fighting for that.Want an end to the Iraq war He's your man. We need a movement of the poeple.Linda In NJ

  • This is the only candidate that will not genuflect before the insurance companies. We need him- he's the antithesis of Bush.

  • Rhetorical question:

Would my auto/home/business insurance costs go down, or stop rising, as medical liability is a big component?

Could my city have more budgetary "breathing room" if runaway healthcare costs would at least stabilize?

What could cities/states do with the money no longer needed for healthcare?

  • Rhetorical question:

does "universal healthcare" mean that people can choose an employer based on qualities other than their benefits package? Could I work for a smaller company that otherwise would not have a large enough employee base to negotiate healthcare effectively? Could I work at the bakery next to my kid's school, rather than the mega-factory across town, and still have healthcare?

  • Yes to all of those. That is the beautiful part of this system. Complete paradigm shift, with attendant ripples.

  • Kucinich kicked the rest of their asses!

  • Nobody but Dennis in 2008.

  • With Richardson, Dennis is the only other candidate with *real* integrity. Even the leftie & faux-progressive bloggers and newssites ignore most of what Dennis has to say, which is such a scam!

Dennis, you have my CA vote!!

  • He would have except that about half of the participants at the conference were bused in by SEIU, and as soon as Edwards, Clinton and Obama had spoken SEIU told the bus riders to get back on the buses for the ride home. So SEIU leadership didn't give all its rank-and-file members an opportunity to hear Dodd, Kucinich or Gravel. Those who stayed gave Kucinich a standing ovation, just as the AFSCME workers had in Carson City a couple of week ago.

  • We the people must get him into the mainstream! we can do it! this country is supposed to bend to the will of the people, thats us.

Call it grass roots, call it th power of the people, i dont care, but together we can make him win!

    Kucinich '08

  • Straight, powerful, truthful talk again from Dennis. Come on folks, are we ready to back him up?

  • The cost of health coverage is shaping up to be the #1 issue of the 2008 campaign. (Assuming the war in Iraq is ending and we do not attack Iran). Kucinich has the best plan, the dedication, and the heart to do it right.

  • yes ...will you do it if you get into office or will they tie your hands and then you'll give us the reasons why you can't do what you promised?...I hope you can do it, I hope you can!

  • The problem is that he is not getting the mainstream appeal like Clinton/Obama so apathetic voters won't know if he even exists.

  • that is unfortunate and true. he is the best person for the job. Kucinich '08!

  • Wrong. He is a socialist, and we Americans are generally not socialist. Extremely simple.

  • I'm glad you appreciate my name; your sense of humor and creativity are applauded. I'm not a commie, sir. You still have your head up your ass with cold-war paranoia. And yes, the system is broken; OBVIOUSLY it's broken because 50 million americans have either no health insurance or inadequate coverage. How do you explain that? And why don't you care?

  • Same reason many people don't have auto insurance. And, you know this. Most info about the 50 million is propaganda. MOST of these people don't have it because they just would rather spend their money elsewhere, like McDonalds, or they know they can go to the county hospital, and use their Medicaid. Socialist Crimerals.

  • I think if we had a couple "socialist" or "commie" programs, we would probably be stronger; we would actually help and care about one another. I'm not into all communist ideas or capitalist ideas: I pick and choose those that are most applicable to me. Just like I'm liberal about some issues (well most anyway), conservative about others...
