whaaaaaaaat an equip u got there... were the first tracks prepitched btw, or were they @ the same bpm? man, i´d love to have 2 of these cdjs, i got a 3 TT setup at home, but those are just rp 4000´s (reloop crap), seeing ur dj setup makes me like so jealous :)
but i got a axiom pro 61 :P at least xD. still pretty crap.
great mix btw, check mine if youtube doesn´t delete it. did a 20 mins 20 tracks set some days ago!
Ahhhh yes I've moved that sub around so much I think it's been everywhere in my room. After a lot of trial and error I ended up with the KRK 10 right where you see it! lol I have 2 KRK 8' both in each corner and this set up is perfect sounding at any level.
eeee oh no, bad place to put it really, you'll be getting a lot of standing waves and it'll probably sound really muddy, if you struggle, it.s best to just hide it under a desk about 5" from a wall and turn it down a bit so it runs flat with the krk 8s, gonna get one myself to run with my 5's, perfect combo, tight as hell midrange on the 5's and a nice meaty low end on the sub!
I download most of my Tracks from sites like Beatport, Drum and Bass Arena, Dancerecords, and djmr. I still buy vinyl if i can't download a .wav. I grew up playing vinyl and with programs like Traktor and Serato I can now play on my 1200's again. Spinning on CDJ's makes it easier to mix, a lot easier, and it almost takes the skill out of it...Don't get me wrong... I still use my CDJ's....
how can u say its taken along of skill and fun out of djing when all your doing in effect is replacing your vinyl with timecoded vinyl, you still have to beatmatch, you still have to know what tunes fit, where to drop your tunes, vocals and breakdowns, a computer does not tell u this! digital djing takes everything good about vinyl but gives u the power to access tunes more easily and cheaper! theres no chance that its less fun!
I started out mixing Techno, Tech House, and minimal. To be honest I've found mixing dnb to be more entertaining. I like and play all EDM. But I believe there is more skill invoved when mixing dnb. Just my personal opinion ;)
Excellent, very well developed the secuence.

amen, digital mixing is responsible for a lot of dance musics woes, its taken a lot of skill, and in turn, fun...out of the process of being a dj
