Im only 14 and everyone else I know listens to that autotune computerised stuff and I mostly listen to old music like this and it makes me wonder what happened to really good music like this?
The fucking song is one great big long visceral experience and if played longer the better. It totally destroys all sense of normalcy and replaces it with some sense of having been fucked really well. Those who have been fucked really well in the past are the ones who will more readily identify with this particular song. What a superlative tune!!! Gets me in the mood for anything!!
I get so hyped up when I hear this song - I heard about the Hip from a Canadian staying in Galway, he played a few of their songs at a house party. When I got back to Dublin I was trying to find about them, stumbled across the Up to Here, Road Apples, Day for Night and Fully Completely in a 2nd-house music store - I have listened to those albums to DEATH and I never get tired of them. <--- Hip from from Ireland
@eyeoftheshieka17 the whole song does it to me ,,,, i cant explain it but when this song comes on , i just loose my shit and dont care about who or whats around me ,,,, i get to see them in june with my girl ,,, cant wait !
This is good, I think this is sounding better than the stuff from their first album. That stuff is more raw and bluesy but the song-writing is stronger here. What do you guys think?
When this album came out, I thought they were going to be the best band in the world. Absolutely fantastic record. After this, they were hit and miss. Great albums followed by mediocre ones. Nautical disaster was good, Phantom Power and In Between Evolution also. They seem to have lost their way. I have no problem with musicians/artists evolving and growing, it's actually something to be appreciated, but this band no longer sends a jolt of electricity through your bones.
I'll drink Kokanee to the kick ass tunes, since its the last major beer sompany still ran and owned by Canadians. Nothing goes better with some Hip than an ice cold glacier beer distilled up in the Kootenay's. FUCK YEAA
@bulshoy Don't see too much of it out west, or I just don't look that hard. I know there is still beer thats Canadian made and owned, I just meant the well known more expensive stuff, suppose Mosshead fits into that category too.
@TooMuchCTV I thought Columbia Brewing was bought by Labatt...which in turn was purchased by Interbrew. Could be wrong. Moosehead is the largest Canadian brewing company..last big one I do believe.
@wagonburnt But they still brew Kokanee up in the Kootenay's and didn't change a thing to the brew, and I don't see too much Moosehead in AB. I've come to drink almost any beer without much fuss, just keep that Pilsner moose piss nasty shit away and we're fine hahaha.
@stabarah Molson is still Canadian somewhat...Molson bought out Coors, so there is some sort of bastard child left of the original Molson brand...and actually is now run by an American. Moosehead is the largest purely Canadian brewing company.
fucking love this long and the hip. proud to be canadian!

so there's no simple explanation for anything important any of us do and yea the human tragedy consists in the necessity of
living with the consequences under pressure, under pressure courage, my word, it didn't come, it doesn't matter, courage, your
