  • Still my favorite Star Trek movie, mostly due to the fact they added a bit of a horror influence into it.

  • "I do not own any of the material used in this video!"

Then you shouldn't be posting it.

  • NEVER. have this music with startrek. ever.

  • One thing Star Wars, even the shitty ones, has always had going for it was the music.

But it just doesn't fit the mood, tone, and style of Star Trek. Not by a long shot.

Still, this did make me want to go back and watch First Contact again, so....kudos.

  • I thought that video would never Finnish...

  • Fail for using Duel of the Fates in a Star Trek movie.

  • It is only a matter of faith, but i feel more than fairly certain.. that there is a special section of Purgatory just for people who intentionally mix up Star Wars and Star Trek. Unlike the average YouTube video, Star Wars and Star Trek have music that was made specifically FOR them.. DISTINCTIVE, DEFINING of their themes.. This abomination is just as bad as if you gave Superman a green cape with a Q on it - i will pray for your soul.

  • @Mikanojo If you mix up Star Wars and Star Trek you will burn in a very special level of hell. The place they reserve for child molesters, and people who talk at the theatre.

  • @randomface54 Kudos for using a Firefly reference....

  • CORN ON THE COB

    CORN ON THE KABOB

DA DA DA DA DA DA

DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DA

    DA DA DA DA DA

  • so if they killed the borg queen in star trek first contact how did she reapear in star trek voyager?

  • @norrock1 They replaced the Queen with another female drone. The Collective's greatest strength is it's adaptablity after all.

  • @randomface54 ya i guess that makes sense lol. though the 2 queens look like the same actress though or at least very similar lol

  • @norrock1 Well the Borg do value uniformity and the costumes were basically the same but they were different actresses. Alice Krige played the BQ in First Contact and Susanna Thompson was the BQ in Voyager (she also played Lenara Khan in DS9)

  • Sometimes two unlikely ingredients can create something beautiful like chocolate and peanut butter but what you’ve created here is closer to apple juice and cereal. First Contact actually had a great score and you completely ignored that and put Star Wars in its place and the most overused Star Wars song of all time at that.

  • @S3r3nityNow

And most important of all; Captain Kirk is the best.

  • I like this!

  • Way to disgrace a great movie.

  • @spectre0075 so agreed!

  • Love the vid and the star wars music...nice touch! Star Trek>Star Wars! Maybe Kirk and Picard are not Jedi but really who gives a damn! I used to like Star Wars as a kid but not so much now b/c it's nothing but a sci-fi fairytale about rescuing some poor damsel in distress whether its padme or leia. Sorry not my favorite! Love Star Trek its more fun!

  • Duel of the fates was great at first, but just got annoying after a couple minutes.

  • yeah great way to star a Trekker and Star war nerd war STOP USING STAR WARS MUSIC

picard and kirk are not jedi

  • CORN ONNNNN THE COBBBBBB

  • wow, excelentally cut and composed, 5 stars if they were yet available.

best scene is when the needle pierces picards eye and then the enterprise pierces out of the cloud, very well done!

  • This could potentially instigate a war between Trekkies and SW fans.

  • Hay, Star wars music on star trek? It kinda fits well though. What if they switched titles too? Star trek become Star wars, Would it have made any difference? lol

  • Of course it would make a difference, Star Trek is about space travel and exploration (trekking through the stars), that's the entire nature of the show.

  • star wars mixed with star trek. seems so wierd.

  • wunderfully comosed!

star trek 8 is really excellent!

Its a pitty that there were not made more movies with the tng crew, and that startrek became an action parody just to fulllfill the audiences wish.

  • The first scene is "the Matrix".

    Star Trek First Contact: 1996

    The Matrix: 1999

  • You mean with Picard on a Borg ship? Yes, that clearly happened in the Matrix...

  • @MrPsychic8472 This movie predated Matrix by a bit.

  • Of course it did.. I was replying to toothwash saying that the intro was in the Matrix, and I was using sarcasm.

  • Star wars music on a star trek video... nice.

  • They were great in the '60s

  • I had a pretty intense dream last night that Fox Mouldner from the XFiles was fighting zombies with me. He got killed and then captain Picard came in to replace him. It was awesome.

  • Wow, that is pretty trippy

  • I know, the weird thing was that it was one of those dreams that felt very real. I was very happy to see Captain Picard come to my rescue.

  • hehe, that's awesome. I have to ask, and I'm not poking fun at you were you drinking the night before? Ya, I've had some odd dreams like that, I remember having a dream once where it appeared as though I was in a black and white movie, and I was having lunch with Peter Cushing, lol, very strange

  • No I wasn't drinking or anything. I'll tell you though, I was so scared that even after I woke up I had to walk through my whole house one room at a time and make sure that there weren't zombies there.

  • LOL, ya I've had a few dreams like that, hehe, pretty funny

  • I had a similar dream about shooting vampires with a shotgun along with Angelina Jolie. But since there was no ''aftermath'' ; ) with her I would change her for captain Picard he would have brought his faser and would have finished earlier!!! No?

  • lol. I would rather have Data or Kirk save the day. Any of the Vulcans as well

  • am a big star wars fan

  • Why didn't they just revert just using fuckin' swords?

In the words of Wolverine, "Try absorbing these!"

  • Or water, electricity and water dosnt mix, that could have also chucked a can of petrol/gas and when flung a match on them, for all there super advanced technology the most basic elements are all thats needed to beat the borg, Fire and water

  • Indeed.....good points on the basic elements. I don't know, I just know that if I was facing an enemy like that, I would sit down and think of a simpler way to defeat them, rather than changing frequencies on the phasers every 5 seconds! lol

  • I'm sure the Borg had no "energy shields" to save them from water of fire...

  • cool vid, this was a sweet movie. yeah for sure star wars got some epic music but dudes right anakin and padme cant act for sht in the newer ones. and all those changes to the classics might as well just be a trek fan

  • The contrast of the Cube explosion and the silence is awesome.

Excellently put together. Star Wars and Star Trek may fight like sibligs (or at least their fans do) but the conbination of the fantastic footage and impressive music like this just makes one hell of a vid. :D

  • Jean Luc Bond, die borg scum! 5:45

  • I'm a star trek fan, I've never watched Star wars, and I have to say, this beats star trek's music any day

  • Star Wars has better soundtracks, Star Trek has actors who can actually...act. :p

  • lol! And so true

  • Star Wars movies are better action epics, and Star Trek movies and televison shows are better science-fiction dramas, but for all its decades on air and its hundreds of shows, not one villain in the Trek universe is as cool as Darth Vader, and I think that's one decisive factor in the popularity of the two series.

  • You might have had a point before the prequels, but it is now canon that Vader is just a whining emo prat who goes ape because everybody doesn't tell him how pretty he is.

But since Paramount is now trying to turn Star Trek into Star Wars Lite, we'll have to see.

  • lol ... Good point. But overlooking Vader's pouting and posturing pubescent origins, the Vader of the original trilogy is one badass MOFO. Eric Bana might be the most established star ever to play a villain in a Trek movie, so we'll see how he fares.

  • google search "Chad vader, episode one" LMAO. Darth Vaders' nephew is day shift manager

  • Nice! The music from the Wrath of Kawn

  • what retard made this.. duel of fates in a star trek video? be ashamed

  • Do not EVER play starwars music against a startrek movie.

  • Right. Star Trek has no match.

  • no, star wars has no match.

  • I'm a starwars fan and I agree

  • Awesome video; You chose the perfect music for this!!!

  • there we have it folks, behold the super anti borg weapon, the tompson sub machine gun.

  • very nice video.

  • wow...duel of the fates with star trek. how original!

  • The music does sort of fit but this is a travesty... Star Trek has its own unique sound track that dates all the way back to the very first series and the first 6 movies.

So yeah, it sort of fits but really this just destroys the scenes used.

(Please note, I am definitely a trekkie but I also enjoy star wars -- so don't flame me for being a 'star wars hater').

  • Absolutely love this! Great job.

  • thanks

  • Awesome!

  • Oh, this must be the one about the Cybermen... err, I mean Borg. Sorry.

  • o by the way sweet video, the borg are just the knackers of the galaxy. . . .worse than the ferengi like

  • Absolutely astounding! Matching the scenes to the exhilarating Duel Of The Fates score rescues it from the tragic wreck that was the Star Wars prequels. The interjection of film dialog at the appropriate points is nothing less than genius. ...although I could have used more of it

    I bring order to chaos

I am the one who is many

    I am The Borg

  • This video is really nice done!

I am agree with the comment of mgol2667, the music and the scenes are fitting exellent with eachother =)

  • Question for any1 has seen any of the battle scenes in DS9. is it me or do some of starfleets ships look oldfashioned? particularly some saucer sections an nacelles. is that simply the prefered design of the newer ships or did starfleet jus keep old ships in service not anticipating the dominion war?

  • hey during war time u need to use every ship u got even if it 50 to 100 years old just refit it

  • considering 2/3 of starfleet ships were old and vast in numbers, they just refit them to try to get them up to date, because they made up the majority of the fleet, and they needed every ship.

  • ihan hyvin vaikka sulla oliki aika ''hard timea'' ku kuvasit tota

  • Hehe. I love Star Wars AND I love Star Trek.

    Wicked combo! XD

  • nice! i love star trek and star wars and John Williams is liquid genius, well done! it really created another perspective on star trek with different music. it made everything look sequential and less action-y...less in-your-face. awesome ^_^

  • awesum vid

    nice vid
