Please keep in mind all you scotty lovers...a scotty has no fear of water...so if you encourage them to swim remember that their little legs are far too short to support their body weight so they can easily drown...
@annabella1214 OMG! Our little Wheaton, 'Capt Sully" drowned in our Koi pond.
I put him out in his fenced kennel while I was cleaning up his pee mess.
He broke out and then found a rusted out nail that was holding fencing around the pond. So he broke out of two fences in order to go after my huge Koi.
I was more than heart broken. We filled the pond in with 2 dumptruck loads dirt, gave the Koi away. We've had 8 Scottys in 30 yrs. Love them so much!
why is Lana wet all over, why is she over heated, Scotties are more sure footed than this video shows, she looks panicked and on the verge of heat exhustion
Geez pittypaws1 a lotta questions there, she probably went for a swim that's why she's tired and wet. When my Scottie goes to the beach she is exhauseted at the end of the day and she gets wet all over from swimming.
omg she looks just like my scottie... well i have 2 a brother and sister, what a lovely dog and really nice vid, its unbelievable how alike most scotties are "in nature and the funny things they do" you can have a look at my two on my channel if you like, i have lots of videos of them :)
our both (well one now :( ) know how to swim, they're are slow swimmers but they can swim, I've never let them swim too long though. But if they like to swim longer, I'd just watch them for not going very deep.
This is true. Their legs are short in comparison to their body, and the legs can't hold the body weight in water, no matter how fast they try to paddle. So steer clear of deep water. The Scottie could drown. Be careful. Mine can run very fast though, when she sees a rabbit or a squirrel!!
Ur dog is responsible ... Mine will jump to the sea and swim to the nearest island LOL

My Scotty Dog can outswim my Airedale Terrier by a long shot, in fast flowing rivers... He has no problems because of short legs...

That's ludicrous. Every dog innately knows how to swim. This dog is just hot and worn out and relaxing in the H2O.

Does She actually knows how to swim?
I also have a scottish and I heard that they can't swim because of the short legs.

Chunky wee Scottie!

Probably more slippery than uncomfortable. My dog will lay on anything - his favorite patio tiles as they are cool in temperature.

I don't think I would have been comfortable trying to lie down on a bunch of rocks.

At least she found a comfy spot there at the end!

Those rocks must be slippery.
