It shouldn't really matter. Townsend is a fantastic musician. So is Buckethead. They've both created music that challenge the norms and are so influential to many people. What does it matter that someone likes one more than the other? Why create so much negativity over something that otherwise is something enjoyable? Why argue about it on a YouTube video where nothing matters anyway? Sometimes, I think metal fans hate each other more than they hate anything else.

This man is so much more of a musician than you claim in your comment. He knows more than "a few good sweeps and a few lines through a scale". Actually LISTEN to his works. Every album is unique. He can shred when necessary, but is much more about emotion than anything else.
