the original six were a great mix they covered the music well w/ mick playing guitar and keys and having Ian & Al in there with all their talents, and toppping it off w/ Lou just a really great vocalist, who i think started out as a drummer if i remember my history correctly..
Thank you for posting , great audio of a great band !!!!!!! Wasn't Lou's last name really Grammatico ? He was in a band called Navasota I believe before Foriegner .
God the late 70's into the 80's were a greta time for music-Foreigner, Kansas, Boston, Kiss, Steve Miller, Doobie Brothers-I could go on but I would ultimately miss others that were significant and thus do a dishonor. What great music and passion from that era. I wish more young people today could appreciate this.
thanks for posting - much pleasure to hear LOU GRAMM's so POWERFUL AND MAGIC VOICE - he is still considered as one of the best pop/rock voices for the last 30 years !!! GREAT LOU GRAMM !!!
You're welcome! I've posted 3 or 4 other songs from this concert. Lou is one of my favorites. My # 1 is Steve Walsh. I've got tons of rare live Kansas material posted on my channel as well as lots of great 70's rock!....Rick
Hey rickyon, we must be homies! I don't have any pics, but I took a couple of Army buddies to their September 1979 concert at the Kansas Coliseum, too! Man, those were the partying days! I don't know which was thicker - the fog from the stage show, or the smoke from the bongs and pipes - lol! Foreigner loved playing in Wichita, and Wichita loved Foreigner then, too! I don't think any band sold out as fast!!!
Thanks Michael. You have such great taste in music that it doesn't surprise me that you like this band. They are still around and touring, like Kansas but the only guy left from the original line up is the lead guitar player. John Bonhams' son Jason played with them for a while. This band has had many big hits and the album this song is from ( the first one ) is excellent and you should pick it up! There are 4 more songs from this show that I'm going to post in the near future....Rick

Lou was hot, and he still is. In fact, he's even hotter now. Thanks again for posting this, and I look forward to seeing more. :)
