Thanks! I studied Media Arts and minored in Music, so that education helped. However, I've been writing music and practicing stop motion since high school, so it was really just a lot of practice as opposed to formal education. To sync it up I wrote the song at 90bpm so that at 24fps, one sixteenth note was 4 frames. Then I made a shot list with the precise number of frames needed for each section of music contained in a shot. Definitely more hours spent in planning it than in shooting!
