But Will Friedle said this about playing Eric (from IMDB): "Toward the third season, they made Eric really dumb. It was so much fun to play. Such a sweet episode. I like how Eric can be seen as "dumb" sometimes and smart at other times. It just goes to show you that drive and potential are most important. A lot of people have the potential to be successful at whatever they do, but so many of them are lazy... Even at my college, which many see as extremely difficult...I really think a lot of people just don't push themselves hard enough. They do the bare minimum when they are capable of more. Wish more people would understand that.
