There are a lot of mis-understandings here. It was not the government or Sinhalese people who killed Tamils. The Tamil houses lists were held by the Tamil newspaper agents those days and the LTTE (or people who established it) made them help to kill innocent Tamils. I remember my Tamil friends those days telling how they were forced by LTTE for things they never liked to do. Ultimately they all left country for good, and this is never acceptable. LTTE made the Tamil and Sinhalese stand against.
