I think over playing games is the prime suspect of being a retard. I do hope that you know wooden swords have been children toys for about six hundred years before Zelda was ever thought of, so the concept is pretty sound in any knight/wizard type game...

@SunderedMoon Pretty sure this has been cleared up a few times... I play zelda too much so I would know. In The legend of Zelda (the original nes game) an old man in the very beginning gives you a wooden sword and says "it's dangerous to go alone take this" and thats what it says on the grave where he dug it up. that's why its referring to Zelda and not all wooden toy swords ever. It's more so paying homage to a classic video game than to be some cool trick everyone should try.
