some clarifications..

How do pawns move? Can they only move in one direction as always?

How about set up? queen is always on white and king on black square?

And what happens when one player gets checkmated? Or to be precise, how does checkmate work here? if the player starts his turn and finds out he's checked and has no other legal moves he's done? and are his pieces removed from the game?

@shaoronmd pawns still can only move foward or they'd be kings I'd suppose and the King is always on the right side of you.

As for king-queen placement, the king on the right is for the 4player version?

@shaoronmd actually the king is always on the right according to official rule books and if your partners across from you, you have to be able to use your other pawns to attack them.

if a pawn moves two squares thru a square where an enemy pawn can capture it then it can be taken en passant

Nice i wanna get me a board of my own with different colors though. Black, White, Grey, and Clear Glass. my rules, we take over armies if we take the king A.K.A. Death Match. Or we just do it normally. Whats cool as we play it is that we don't say check, But i say check for my team mate so i can make sure my partner is paying attention. U can come up with many rules that your opponents come up and agree with. Same moves, more people and pieces for paranoia to kick in. =)
