@tallpaul521 Thanks Paul, I did get to see him in person, with Steve and Eydie also, what a show. Also when Frank Jr. was starting out I saw him touring with the Sam Donohue Big Band, early sixties.
@swinginkatz Frank, I had front row tix to see the Rat Pack Reunion Tour here in Houston. A hurricane came in and the show was rescheduled. The next date was cancelled due to Dean dropping out. The third date had Liza replacing Dean..then I got a booking I couldn't pass up, so I missed that tour. A few years later I finally saw Frank on his LA Is My Lady tour.
I can't stop watching this!!! I see and hear something new each time. How he sings a bit off the beat and the joy he has entertaining. He just loves the crowd. I remember in the 60s in Vegas how he would deal so perfectly with drunks interrupting. So sexy. Oh, Frank! How funny that he articulates perfectly when singing but has that Hoboken accent when he talks and says water. Great humor and class. Frankie Forever! Thanks swinginkatz.
swinginkatz, I went back and listened to some of his earlier recordings of this song. I think this is the best. His voice has that cigarette hoarseness that is perfect for this arrangement. Nothing like Nelson Riddle's arrangements and Frank;s voice. Do you have more live videos like this posted? Thanks again
Thanks for putting this up swinginkatz. I think Frank once said this was his favourite song as it kick started his career. Surprised more versions aren't available on here but any chance to see the great man at work is fine by me.
