Again, the media is so out of tune sometimes. Just notice this documentary finished off by calling Vikernes a neo-nazi. This documentary seemed fair, it was Bergens Tidende which seemed like someone who came with wrong news from the start of, but the the documentary just quits with that statement. Totally branding Vikernes as a nazi. And thats far from the truth!

So, never trust the media.

i know black metal in general is just music, i love metal, but i think alot of things about black metal, especially norwegian gives metal in general a bad name. i listen to metal because i like the music, i have long hair, v similar to varg, but i don't like burzum atall, i think guys like varg, gorgoroth etc are jokes. they say it is about the message, satan, and not the music.. like most people i'm in it for the music, and people like them give us a bad name, they are not what metal is about

Oh fuck you dude. Since when did someone have to agree or blindly follow a bands LYRICAL message? The music (the basic sounds) alone speaks volumes to each individual, without the use of words, whether positive or negative. Whether you like it or not, that's the basic reason why we listen to music generally. The sounds are of someone/ a group expressing themselves while the listener can find their own individual reason to listening to it.
