you wouldnt want to drive the toureg in place of the Infiniti, I drove the toureg as a chase vehcile to film the infiniti FX 50 and it was totally rank - mainly the suspension and the steering were well off - the Infinit was much better and a good deal faster

I think I'd rather have a tourag. The v8 touareg might be more expensive but it is much, much better looking than this car, even though the infiniti is more powerful,better equiped, and faster. But what's the point of having an suv if its soft and small? I don't know, it's pretty good I guess but for me, I'd have the v8 touareg 2.

@buttnut1080 touareg does not even belong in the same class as the FX. Infiniti has pure engine muscle and all electronic add on packages. I always said it that driving the FX is like having a second driver seated next to you. So effortless and high degree of on the road situational awareness responding even before you notice a risk forthcoming. You wouldn't know what I am talking about until you drive one.

Trying to make the FX look more like a car messed up its impressive front.

The headlights are not the problem, its the face that they squeezed the front of the FX into a wedge shape.

The odd look of the FX's front was also impressive with its illusion on height.

That is all lost on the 2009.

They have deviated from the bubble and the rear looks boxy like a station wagon.

Don't like the new design.

I had the chance to test drive the floor model of this beast. They actually encourage driving it hard. Super solid car/suv cross over and soo much torque. Love the thing to pieces but sitll wouldn't be my first pick as far as overall design goes

that's not true. well, half of it is, the x5 is built in the us, but it's engineered for the whole world. infiniti is not built in japan. the m is because it's just a rebadged nissan that's sold in japan. but the fx isn't. infiniti is an american brand. i never understood infiniti to be quite honest. they are literally just nissans with a posh badge and leather, but cost tens of thousands more. it's ludicrous, why pay bmw money for a nissan?

I'll explain, first, my 535xi with the dinan mods is faster than the m3 sedan, not so sure about the m3 coupe with the dsg dct, but i am faster than the manual, i need an sav, not an suv, which the x5 and x6 are, the reason being is that i live in New York and in Florida, when i'm in NY, the all wheel drive is a great deal of help on icy roads where i can easily loose control if i were to be driving a rear wheel drive vehicle. I am a fan of the m cars but don't say buy one because its better.

Your an idiot, ask any bmw owner about dinan and they will tell you that they make an already amazing car extrordinary. Dinan backs the 4 year factory warranty so there is no risk. My 535xi is perfectly fine and performs tremendously, no problems at all. I never keep my cars for more then 4 years, so i have nothing to loose. Have you ever driven any of the car's were even talking about? probably not, you most likely don't even own a bmw.

i understand, but i'm leaving performance and handling to the experts over at bmw. i feel that it's pointless to tune a car yourself to make it better, bmw spent so much money to make the car as good as it can be. and although this chip might make it as fast as an m3, it can't give it the m3's v8 engine, the m configurations on the i-drive, and it can't give it the m3's looks.

you're really dumb. in a straight line it's faster maybe, but everywhere else it would suck so bad. why? because bmw spent close to $400 million on research and development for the 535xi. if they felt that it needed that mod, they would have put it in. all the suspension, transmission, brake, and differential components were built to withstand 300 horsepower, not w/e you have in it now. ever heard of the failure that is the shelby gt500? you basically just did the same thing with a bmw.

u forgot something man there will be a BMW X6M will be powered by a 5.0-liter V10 with 373kW and 520Nm of torque, even though we believe that a twin-turbo engine will be more suitable for the job. The 4.4 V8 Twin-Turbo can be the ideal choice since the car already weighs around 5,000 lbs and placing a heavy V10 engine in it, would not make much sense.

I ordered the x6 m :) and it will be a 4.4liter twin scroll turbo charged engine, 555hp 500lb trq, 0 60 in 4.5 sec. It will be amazing, but i havent been given color options yet. The base price is $88,900 and i don't know how i feel about the looks of it yet, but i'm guessing i'll love it once i see it in person. there are a few videos of it on you tube as well as the x5 m, the Press release is on BMW's website.

I added every option to the menu on it. and it came out to $66,685.00 thats fully loaded from there actual website.. so Its not a cheap vehicle if you get it with every option. but man it looks wonderful to own and drive. Would enjoy seen some one turbo it awd and a v8 hell yeah.

The fx 50 is the most beautiful car i've ever seen, If you guys check the infiniti website and try all the colors available you will love it!!! to be honest, Infiniti has better designs that any American luxury brand with their irrelevant models, just check infiniti models since 2003 and compare them to Cadillac, Buick,GMCs, or SAAB, or even the Mercury-s which are just a copy of the ford with bigger headlights or the Lincolns.

I love the quality of toyota but the handling of most toyotas is not that great and feedback for the driver, well that sucks. I am an avid car guy I own two toyotas a 2008 Tundra and a Land cruiser. Both are great vehicles, pull my boats and toys like a bull.

But for sport I like the Germans I have owned many BMWs and Mercedes and recently have become an Audi fan, owning an RS4 and an S8.

But my point is that this vehicle sold poorly the last time it was offered FX45/35 so I expect with the combination of $4+/gallon fuel and a pretty much unusable car this will be a novelty more like a boat or a motorcycle, not a means of transportation. Some people will buy it for sure but not very many. The Porsche cayenne is a better choice I owned one (2004 Cayenne S) and it was great, fun and agile but I could throw 4 frineds and thier guns in and go out for a day of fun. FX? Not so much.

You know that BMW owns RR right. I just drove a Ford GT last night at the speedway in Orlando. I'm in love and I can't resist.I put a bid on one this morning on e-bay. I am finally getting one.
