  • Hi great shooting i also own a CZ 452, wery fine weapon. What scope do u use? type, zoom and diameter of the ocular?

  • @jockeand1 The scope I use is a Mueller APT Tactical Mil Dot 4.5-14 power, 30mm tube with a 40mm Objective and the 3 inch sun shade.. I own FOUR of them now. I have had ZERO issues with Mueller APT scopes. Price for the APT is about $175 and worth every penny.

  • @shoktroop Ok thank you whery much

  • okay going by the sound alone, it sounds like the supersonic crack stops as the round hits the plate, but there's no way wits still traveling supersonic at even past 100 yards. can this be explained?

  • @hilers72652 I can explain it for ya.. First your hearing the echo off the surrounding valley, trees, my house etc. Thats why its not a sharp "CRACK" like you would normaly hear. The shound lingers for a bit. Even the gong being hit sound echos. A high velocity .22 LR bullet IS traveling past the speed of sound past 100 yards. The ammo I am using is CCI high velocity ammo rated 1465 fps. But out of my CZ 452 it actually spits out at around 1550 according to my chronograph.

  • @shoktroop okay now i get it, so it just happens to be at the right distance that the echo blends in with the original shot and the echo stops with the sound of it hitting. and just now i realize this by turning the volume way up and the crack can still be heard a fraction of a second after hearing impact

  • great shooting

would you recommend this scope for 200+ yard shots with this rifle???

will subsonic ammo reach out to 200+ yards???

    thanks

  • @zealberg Yes I had a scope on the CZ at one time. VERY VERY accurate rifle. Sub sonic ammo would pretty much be useless at that range. Sub sonics are good for maybe 50 yards. Effective killing that is. I used sub's on rabbits with the CZ and after 50 yards the lethality of the round is severely dimminished. More of a wounding or bouncing off than terminal on rabbits.

  • How Loud is it im thinking about getting one? can u compare it to a ruger .22 or a 9mm. thank you

  • @Tx200x They are actually a bit quieter due to the 24 inch barrel. That breaks up the gas a lot and alows it to slow down a bit b4 the bullet leaves the barrel. It is definatly quieter than a 9mm! You can even use subsonic ammunition if your concerned over the loud report of the rifle. You can barely hear "pop" of the bullet comming out.

  • I've never shot a squirrel that I didn't shoot in the head. Come to think of it I've only missed one squirrel in my life too. I aim for the brain pan just behind the ear. My brother shoots them in the eye. I've never seen him miss. Of course we aren't shooting at them from 225 yards. That's just practicing stuff.

  • great shooting dude!! Ihave one of these also and I believe it is more accurate then my Browning Abolt

  • @rextex2009 The CZ line of .22 rifles are some of the most well build rifles currently available. I will put my CZ452 against ANY other 22 maker. I love my CZ!

  • @shoktroop How is that sweet 22? i'm thinking of getting 1 for my Cz 452 varmint and i was wondering is it easy to zero in and set up?

  • @ak47proshooter It is very easy to setup and zero. First b4 you zero rifle figure out what the minimum range you will be shooting at and zero the rifle for that. So if you have a range like mine and the targets/critters you will be shooting at are atleast 50 yards away zero the rifle for 50 yards. Meaning set up a target at 50 yards and shoot untill you start hitting it. Remove the scope turret caps and set the turrets to either "0" or "50". Your rifle will be zerod for that range. good luck.

  • what kind of animal has a 4X4 brain?

  • @oloftaittinger Lots of animals do.. R U STONED? FIrst off its just a gong not representative of anything but a gong. Why on earth would you aim for the BRAIN on ANY animal to hunt? other than small vermin style game. Even then you should be doing body shots. Ethical kills man. Jesus.

  • @shoktroop what i meant is that your probably never going to shot an animal with a 4X4 killzone with a .22 ... so this test isn't very viable but from a shooters point of view, if you want to just demonstrate the accuracy of your cz , try grouping on a paper target so we really get an idea of what it is capable.

PS: a 17hmr is far better than a .22 past about 75 meters

  • @oloftaittinger As a hunter you NEVER shoot for the skull/brain.This is just a test of accuracy. Paper!? U wanna walk 450 yards round trip to set up paper!? I shoot rabbits past 200 yards no problem. A 17HMR is a WASTE of money for me. You can keep your 17HMR. I had one. Yes its great but money to shoot. Using Velociters I kill rabbits and squirrels with ONE shot past 200 yards all day long. So why spend money on 17 HMR bullets that are so expensive when I can do it with a .22 for alot less.

  • @shoktroop I don't understand, I hunt rabits, squirrels, pidgeons etc... with .22's, 17hmr and even high powered air rifles and have always made headshots resulting in instant and clean kills and leaving the flesh intact to eat. watch any rabbit hunting videos and it is almost always headshots. I totally agree that the price of 17hmr is ridiculously high. but it seems weird to me that you are able to do instant kills at 200 yards when we see your performance on that steel plate (all over it)

  • @oloftaittinger a Jeep

  • Great shooting.. I just wouldn't brag too much in the description.. Chek out my video..I hit a 10" plate at 268 yards with no scope.. Iron peep sights also with no rest(freehand)

  • Not bragging. I was demonstrating the accuracy of the CZ452 with bulk ammo. Not my skills. 10 inches is huge at 268 even off hand. I'm shooting at a 4 inch square gong & hit it every time from the bench with IRONS not peeps. I can hit the 4' gong "off hand" with ease & regularity. Just watched your video. Well done! Anybody can hit a gone once. Can you do it "most" everytime when you need to? That is the question. I get that alot. I hit a gong at bla bla. range. Can u do it again and again?

  • this is very fun! i got a chance to try steel for the first time yesterday. similar sized plate at 218 yards offhand. it was difficult but i couldnt stop smiling after hearing the "tink" and seeing it fop over.

  • @mxf7010g8k Yes.. My wife still cant understand after all these years of shooting the same gongs. "Why dont you get bored shooting the same gongs over and over?" The answer is genetics. Some men just have to hear that "Tink!" or "Pank!" when a bullet hits steel. It gives us instant "satisfaction" in a way no woman ever could understand. And if your shooting LONG RANGE.. Dude.. It's gun porn when you hear the gong scream out! "Thats a hit biatch!".. Good shooting at 218 yards! OFF HAND TOO!

  • @shoktroop for sure! i also have a somewhat weird addiction to just shooting of rounds at long range into dirt just to see the puff! i dont know what it is.

  • See the first round hit near the base of the pole after hitting the gong!

  • @TheGuzunder Ya that how hard and fast those bullets are getting up there. That would suck to get hit by even a riccochet at that range.

  • The first round hit the gong then hit the ground near the base of the white pole!

  • take the scope off that iv seen u shoot it just as good without the scope

  • @RedneckReenactor. LOL Thanks! I actually did take off the scope. That is the beauty of the CZ 452 Military. You can use open sites or slap a scope on it. CZ's are one of the BEST built rifles in the world.

  • Good shooting. I like your back yard.

  • Thank you Juchongher! That is actually the Front yard lol.. Nothing says welcome to my house as you drive past a shooting range to go to the front of my house.. :) Keep em firing! Semper Fi..

  • Pretty impressive for bulk ammo. I like to sit at about 200 yards and plink at a gong about that size with irons on a nice day. Very relaxing. I find hits really do depend a lot on ammo quality at that range.

  • They always seem to have at least four of those at my local gun shop.

  • @ that range how close does the BDC come to being on with that ammo?

  • that bdc with that ammo "Remington bulk Hollowpoint." is good for about 275-325 yards on my property. At 275 yards the average spread group is about 4 inches. very accurate for bulk ammo!

  • what type of Scope you got mounted and what brand ?

  • It is a BSA Sweet 22. 3-9 Adjustable Objective. Cost about $75. It is a good scope for the money. Not the best glass in the game but it works well. I used weaver to tipoff adapters to mount the weaver rings.

  • nice shot!
